What I don't get about Fahrenheit is how 'high' the numbers are... I mean, 32F does NOT sound cold... 0C - that sounds COLD (as in freezing).

Fahrenheit is pretty ridiculous. It's based on the temperature of a horse.

 

In Fahrenheit's initial scale, the zero point is determined by placing the thermometer in brine: he used a mixture of ice, water, and ammonium chloride. The second point, 100 degrees, was the horse body temperature, said at the time to be more stable than that of a human.

I didn't say it was right... just seemed weird to me - but thanks for the alternative perspective!

Yeah but 0 Celcius is freezing point. So it seems colder than 30 Farenheit. Also 100 Celcius is water's boiling point. It just seems better to me. Maybe just cause I'm used to it, but nevertheless I like Celcius better.
