  1. fucking god'damn i know there's some nice sounds under there. These new wireless headphones fucking blow bad wind in my ears causing a rectal deviation from perfect intonation. -sie- sony, no wonder they were two fer. ...or it could just be my shitty mastering. I do tend to go heavy on the mids/bottoms. Thanks though.
  2. Probably doesn't need to work, could be living off a trust fund or summit. This is pure speculation.
  3. Looks like he's in fancy dress as Kurt Cobain. Looking forward to the new work though.
  4. That's awesome Squee. Very nice indeed. How big are the paintings?
  5. Yeah I had my mop cut off last week. Still getting used to it, feels like Ive taken a big wooly hat off.
  6. David Elsewhere is a legend! Loved his work since my mind was blown by that Kollaboration vid that went viral years ago. Excellent vid. Me and the little un at this evening's lantern parade around the marine lake:
  7. DJ Spunkmeyer DJ Douglas Quaid DJ Bixby Snyder DJ Bitches Leave DJ Dalton DJ Lord Sugartits DJ Fat Barrell of Monkey Spunk DJ Jay off Gogglebox
  8. Fellow wattmite isumber kindly supplied the artwork for my forthcoming EP (I think he posted the original earlier in the thread) - which I'm absolutely thrilled with, needless to say:
  9. I like it big. She reminds me of someone off Coronation Street. Which I don't watch.
  10. Been listening to a lot of Nitemoves recently - really nice melodic emotive stuff. He's the (shit hot) drummer for Tycho too: https://nitemoves.bandcamp.com/album/themes
  11. It's meant to be utter dog shit. No reviewers were allowed to see until a day before release, it's that shit.
  12. 12 Years A Slave: brutal and amazing. Very upsetting. Feels weird this film has only been recently made. Fassbender is a class act, as usual. Grand Budapest Hotel: the film I've been waiting for Wes Anderson to make. Finally a story worthy of the effort he puts into the style/aesthetic.
  13. The guy just comes across as numb and detached to me - like he's depersonalised and just watching a movie of his life. None of the other spiritual teachers I've heard seem that cold or indifferent.
  14. That's basically what he says, that nothing changes really, just your perspective. I don't see any compassion with this guy though and it seems pretty brutal coming to the realisation that it's all a big empty pointless display we have no control over. Fuck that.
  15. An interesting and terrifying tale of enlightenment. It's put me off meditation to be honest.
  16. I agree with you on Bernie but disagree with Captain Phillips. It lacks character development instead relying on cheap quick references like oh he has a mug with his family on, he must be a family man. As a result much of the suspense fell flat with me and I was left feeling like it didn't quite deliver as much as it could have. I liked gravity but felt the same in terms of lack of character development plus I'm sure if you went onto a space station and started punching random buttons you would actually have some serious issues. Yeah especially if the manual was in fucking Chinese?! Also she crash landed like 3 feet away from the shore - how lucky was that? Not just the fact that she didn't have to swim far, but she wasn't killed on impact landing in such shallow water. Take your point about character development in Captain Phillips - I think Tom Hanks just does a good job at portraying the everyman you can relate to. I've since read a few bits from the real Captain Phillips, he seems a bit more of a gung-ho prick by comparison.
  17. Bernie - excellent character study by Jack Black, based on a true story, 9/10 Captain Philllips - same as above but with Tom Hanks, moving ending,10/10 Gravity - nice looking cornball wank, 6/10
  18. Jamming along to a newish track: I also did this extended hour-long Bill Withers remix:
  19. Thanks, I did try to paint some highlights/reflections on there but it looked shit. Will try your suggestion.
  20. Triangles are all the rage these days aren't they? I made this thinking it'd be a good cover for my next EP but I think it looks cheesy now it's done:
  21. This is TV gold. http://youtu.be/mdvfmGPDVkk
  22. Last night I played at a proper gig with people there and everything - then Bill Ryder Jones borrowed my guitar to play an impromptu set. My life is now complete.
