  1.

Getting frustrated at summer math course. Taking first midterm tomorrow and im positive there's going to be a few questions that will stump me.

I HATE this feeling. I had my managerial accounting final exam last Thursday and I knew there were some units and formulae etc I simply didn't understand. So I was dreading it, thinking about whether or not those parts I didn't understand would end up as the long answer questions! Which were worth 70% of the exam =(.

False alarm, apparently the thing i was stressing over wasn't even on the midterm....

  2. Place beyond the Pines. Although this film did have some flaws, it liked it a lot in the end. I became very attached the all the characters and it was fascinating how the story plays out in the end especially since it doesnt feel like there's one over arching theme and main character. On paper, it sounds like a horrible movie but personally i loved the pacing and all the moral dilemmas that are presented. Starting to get kind of tired of Ryan Gosling's acting style tho...

  3. Listening to Deafheaven - Sunbather and seeing them in sf on the 15th. Strong contender for my album of the year 2013, i just have a hard time comparing something like with with Exai or the Haxan Cloak. Anyways, heres a full album stream of what i consider one of the most beautiful metal albums i've heard

  4. You can pretty much tell all of this is spam just by looking at how atrociously unprofessional it looks. Spammers could probably get more people if they at least did a spellcheck...

  5. just went through a 4-5 hour deep periodontal cleaning and my gums are friggin enraged. can't smoke weed coz that will increase the rage. they let me wear headphones while they were working, which was nice - but the first thing that came on while there's a bunch of sharp objects in my mouth is an old mr. velcro fastener album, mostly a bunch of vocoded electro tracks about the superiority of robots. i told the dentist i needed to sit up for a second, made like i was drooling, but really was just undoing the psychological setting of robot music asserting its dominance over organic life while there was a host of very sharp little mechanical pieces in my mouth. four tet was a much better choice. craving a burrito, but can't have one until i can feel my mouth again (tried with a sandwich for lunch and just about bit my tongue off. "drunk tongue" is what it feels like, like it just falls over in the way of the teeth and gets smashed). think they went through 7 full needles of anesthetic, and i wasn't even asking for it. no nitrous though, just feel like a boxer.

tl;dr i have to bake my weed cuz some dentists paid me to have my molars brushed with barbed wire.

not really a fwp, they paid me $200, but still, my mouth hurts, i can't talk, and i got the need to complain at somebody. gumraeg

I think listening to robotic music is extremely fitting for dental work. I had an hour-long session where they put in a filling while I listened to Tri Repetae. Felt so future

    The Road

What do you think of it? I personally liked it, also has a great film adaptation. Been meaning to read more Cormac

I was just going to write it's the best book I have ever read.

It's really incredible. I'm definitely going to check out some more by Cormac McCarthy.

I really like the film adaption too. It's actually quite a underrated movie I think, also the reason I was interested in this book in the first place.

I saw the film first and was really happy when my English class was assigned to read the book. The minimalism just fits so perfectly for a story like that i probably wouldn't say its my favorite book of all time but it's up there

  7. Catcher in the Rye. Second time reading it, read it like 3 years ago. I really enjoy the stream of consciousness writing style and im fascinated by Holden but sometimes i feel like the book has underlying themes that go way over my head. Sometimes i'm really bad at deciphering classic literature

  8. the best CGI addition Lucas has ever put into an old film is the jack-off machine in THX1138, fits perfectly into the movie

Ya but everything else that was CGI'd in the film looked like shit and really took the atmosphere away ESPECIALLY the chase

    I'm sad.

Recently i've been feeling rather sad for no particular reason, that's one of the worst sads because you don't know what to do to make yourself feel happy again.

Yeah I also have periods of deep sadness. This is one of them. But, normally, they have a reason...

This is just a personal thing, but whenever I'm sad as fuck, I put this:

It always gives me hope :')

Nothing like a little gas to help you feeling relaxing and happy :)
