  1. I was in a donut shop at night and looking to buy a donut. Every donut there was $53.27, granted they were a bit bigger than your average donut. Not much more to say about this dream but it just made me really uncomfortable thinking about spending that much on a donut

  2. I'm late to this, but I have been in love with the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack lately. Puppetmaster, the third track, is full of such beautiful strangeness, possibility, uncertainty; it makes me think of a giant plant, waving slowly under deep water. I've felt changed by it. Really.

I used to watch this all the time with my brother. Don't really like anime but Ghost in the Shell is something completely different.

  3. Just watched the movie today with a group of friends. Very disappointed. Have never really been into horror movies and although some people don't consider the Alien franchise a non-horror, the characters in Prometheus just did really stupid shit.

It also just barely brushed on concepts like religion and what it means to be a human but ive seen these ideas gone much more in depth in better, more thoughtful, films. As a summer blockbuster-esque movie, it was pretty decent. Good effects and great acting by Micheal Fassbender makes me a bit more happy i saw it on the big screen.

  4. High on Fire - De Vermis Mysteriuss (misspelled)

My album of the year for 2012 so far. Really great in your face metal. The first three tracks alone make this album a must listen. Not hearing much of the stoner metal influences because i consider it to be much more of a thrash metal record. Last track is the only sort of weak track

  5. Just got done reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It was good but it wasn't great. It's basically fallout 3 if you made it into a father/son drama. It's pleasantly screwed up and was even made into a movie with Viggo Mortensen. The movie's a great companion for the book as it stays very true to the story. The book itself is very minimalist and its reasonable for someone to say that nothing really happens. Although, running just under 300 pages I would recommend it because it is very atmospheric and surprisingly touching at times. If you've already scene the movie, there's not much more that is in the actual book.

  6. The Shipping News by E. Annie Proulx

About a 3rd of the way through. Had a great beginning but definantly starting to slow down. Very sad story

  7. Matter by Iain M. Banks

Part of the "Culture" sci- fi series. Brother introduced me to this author, and although it isn't AMAZING, it is fairly creative/thought provoking for a sci-fi book.

  8. I really fell in love with Exmilitary after hearing theneedledrop's review of it. Don't listen to much hip-hop but these beats are raw and insane. Great nighttime music but can only really handle small doses of it.
