I didn’t ever really think of it as an album tbh, always put it in the EP category (I know discogs and elsewhere has it as an album). But f-train is 50 cycles little bro (I think sp even says that in an interview?), and the rest of the tracks just seemed to be a bridge between GP and Ultravisitor, with the title track having a very Japanese poppy vibe (given the second disc is Alive In Japan?).
tl;dr I’ve never considered dyks an album proper. Curious if anyone else felt this way too?
edit: also the length is like 40 minutes including the final track which was a cover track…. not an album imo

Although I have a preference for certain SP albums over others, I have to say I've never been outright disappointed with any of them; more than I can say for a ton of other artists.
I can complain about the tinny or harsh sounds of ufab or damaged furries and stuff like that (I had 0 problems with be up), but I've never felt disappointed, not in the 25ish years I've been listening to him. I think that's why he continues to be my favorite electronic artist overall.

I overlooked this one somehow, but have been playing The Acid Arcana and all 3 Painting With Acid releases a ton. Just got the cassettes for the latter actually. Queuing this’un up now.

all the flights were shut down at that point. Tbh it was half Covid and half the civil unrest and riots that followed….We had a trip to Iceland booked that year too and none of the airlines were flying.

It doesn’t have that harshness of damaged furries though, at least to my ears. Sounds like a continuation of Be Up to me, maybe he’s sticking with that workflow instead of his homegrown software ala ufab and damogen? we will know more tmrw after the single drops
