  1. Loads of other good music being released lately to catch up on. The 2 major footy codes in Australia (Aussie Rules & Rugby League) have also just begun their finals series, and the French Open is heating up. Have a pool being put in at my place. Approaching mid spring. Election intrigue. SIGN can take its sweet time (given where I live, it should already be enroute to make Oct 16)

  2. Biden's one hope is staring down that camera and shutting out the noise. Trump can't quite do that convincingly, he thrives on the banter, the noise, the stage. Biden has that stern conviction in the eyes to play the Big Brother I Want Your Vote.

I don't see it as Trump bullying, this is the only mode he has.

Biden's really not that bad. Sure he's not very articulate but that's probably due to his stammer.  I don't necessarily want a verbose, dude-you-wanna-have-a-beer-with guy in office if he's gonna accelerate the drone strike program and kill lots of innocent people, for example.

I'm not talking about what sort of person I'd like in office, just how it reads to a general American television audience and that this has been an effective night for Trump's campaign. I'm an introvert, so verbose mateyness bluster doesn't pass the sniffer or fly at all.

  4. It is a farce.

Trump is bullying the situation, soundbiting, eating Biden alive by killing the occasion, a little more switched on. As we sadly predicted. Biden is just Hilary 2.0 with even less articulate disdain. Four more awful years. And deserved, an equal farce that Sanders isn't the candidate.

  6. FYI - Looks like that incorrectly dated Melbourne release title has been fixed by now through AE_Store (21st instead of Hobart 22nd). Might have happened several months ago but glad to see the mistake was eventually noticed and correction made.

  7. Emosh sounds aussie-slang friendly, like it could slot in nicely with your iso & arvo & avo & sanga & straya, however I've never heard it in the wild here. 'Emosh' probably would have been dealt as a snide pejorative masculinity banter term when a male breaks social faux pas by getting a tad too u wot m8 or sooky.

  8. c16 deep tread, cichli and kalpol introl (live) all tickle the tears for me. Propulsive, sorely charged, ethereal, got the lot. Clipper/Rae sorts of tracks with a raw edge. Cichli's dogged roll-with-the-punches positivity and fluttery outro tends to make me choose it as their signature track.

    Now look at this lol

    washing-machine-against-wall-picture-id1

    possibly because of this:

Also ties into "black hole SIGN, won't you come, and wash away..." as well, given the joke that washing machines are black holes where the occasional sock goes to vanish.

It was nineFly that did it for me.  In fact, all of NTS still has my mind blown but a few tracks like nineFly, t1a1, e0 and shimripl casual almost always get my jelly all a quivering.

I'm much the same, g 1 e 1 is nice but would be far from one of my choice NTS tracks but it was at that point (#track 28, week 3), helped by the track's mood, that the weight of the release accumulated for me. I was watching a football game at the time and still got teary nevertheless.

I think the new Autechre album will make us cry

That happened to me circa g 1 e 1 on NTS3. That week-by-week release from your favourite act who you just booked tickets to see and it all just became overwhelming and a lucky time to be alive by that point, with NTS4 still to come.

  12. It does give a sense of what type of ae album we're getting, so I'll take that. Also gives the sense that the Onesixy artwork link is justified enough as well.

Requires squinting through the oft cringe casual sell and empty context which writes itself, yet we are one step closer to a knowable SIGN so I'll take it.
