I want to preorder this so badly but I just lost my job 2 weeks ago and I have a $350 hospital bill to pay off because they fired me right after my insurance kicked in so I don't know what to do
I mean I'd still have $200 left afterward, but those are my last $200 until I get another job

Actually, I know what you mean about the name. And I miss the days when Autechre used cool sounding made up words for song titles. I know this kind of music isn't 'about' anything and so the titles aren't that important, but if you are going to title songs using nonexistent words or phrases, you may as well make them sound good (or look good). 'Confield' was the last album with a great sounding title, and the track titles on that album were pretty awesome.

I like the new cover very much
It revers to classical minimalistic paintings too
I hope the album is as rough, pure, direct and epic as the artwork
It looks like they are done with the detailed playfulness and overstep everybody with massive intense stuff

goes to a non existent bleep webpage for Oversteps. I wouldn't be surprised if they put it up for sale a month early like they did for Quaristice in digital format. i think thats a smart move

autechre releases limited edition > people complain about high price > 1 week later sold out > price goes up 3-4 times > it leaks > people are pissed that they didn't buy it and argue with people who bought it in the first place

Its mastered differently and also its only trying to mimic the beats and grooves but sadly fails

I hope they will give us the wavs / mp3s some time soon as there is no reason to wait for anything (shipping, pressing etc)

Sounds more like he guessed as to what it might sound like - He's pretty much just said it got some bits that sound like some older ideas, and bits that sound like newer ideas. Pretty much describes every album by anyone ....

I would believe it more when he said something certain like "this song is more ambient tune and this is an interlude" even so I couldn't prove anything until its out or leaked

I assume the difference is just that you could consume and like the old albums
today you have to be into autechre to enjoy them
but as this makes the experience much more intense to me I am totally in for developing further as I currently like Quaristice most of their work
but only because I really took the time to listen to it a very lot
when I had the "meh no great melodies" attitude I would never have done that in the first place

its quite the normal price for a special edition remember the original price for quaristice versions and analord binder, warp 20 etc etc
I do. I also remember how pissed off I was when I missed the boat on the special edition. It sold out between the time I heard about it and the time I found my wallet. Not this time :D

funny you say this I was looking on the calender earlier this day and had this thought for a millisecond: "hey all warp acts are so obsessed with numbers this would be the perfect day for the new boc" lol how wrong I was
