Oh snap if the movie will feature shit like these mice looking things in the background it will totally fail
-
lol
well - i don't know exactly what happened - i think it had something to do with all that listening i
did to move of ten. i put the phones on the other night whilst the wind was whirling and rain was
spiting about in a tremendous thunder storm outside my little hut that i am living in and...
...well ..it's as though the album just slowed down and past into my ears in this particular way that
allowed me to experience every detail of it bit by bit. it was as though i was on ecstasy again like years
ago and i was having one of those visceral i'm hearing the voice of God through this music kind of moments.
anyway it was amazing and i am better for it.
I had the same experience as I was listening to it while driving with the car about 2 hours through heavy rain. I also had the feeling there is some awesome storytelling going on inside oversteps but in a very subtile way that generates intense pictures but leaves you with interpreting them. I am also saving up tracks like see on see for the right moments and try to avoid to play them in the background.
last week I was listening to move of ten while hanging around with my girl and everything just seem to fit together perfectly she even insisted to put it back on after it finished because of the surreal mood it created. weird

i'm 95% sure because of the light in this photo, that you're in NZ
Cap Gris-Nez, France
-
I was listening to see on see while this photo was taken some weeks ago:
it was a very intense to listen to it in these surroundings
-
I am currently reading
the 2nd time
-
it finally arrived, after waiting three fucking weeks
wow did you pay the $200 discogs wants for it?
-

yesterday oversteps vinyl arrived
TWICE
-
lol I was playing Ilanders to a girl who said she only listens to hardcore techno all day long
it was quite funny
she was surprised as I told her that her music is kind of slow and relaxing to me

I have an Ikea expedit. If you're worried just reinforce the back, I don't imagine it being that difficult a job. They also come in smaller blocks than the big 5x5.
yeah all pictures of broken down expedits show them standing free in the room or not mounted to the wall so I guess this is whats causing the instability:
-
but my vinyl habit is getting fucking insatiable at the moment.
hehe soon your apartment will look like this which is nice:

he also seems to not trust the ikea solution
-
I'd definitely recommend an Expedit, though seeing this picture recently made me feel a little uneasy:
scary
I know many people who have it and I want to buy it too
-
someone really needs to stop me - i've just discovered Arpanet
lol I know that problem
the knowledge of having to spend money on boc and aphex soon did stop me from buying oversteps on CD in addition to the vinyl yesterday
also a friend told me: use your money on better playing equipment instead of buying the records so you have more value from the ones you have already
-
there is also this great player in windows I prefer to itunes:
it even downloads cover artwork automatically and you can use last.fm to play similar local mp3s
also it plays all formats: flac, mp3, wav whatever
-
guys im not about to read 295 pages of autechre masturbation
i only have one question. what is the best way to convert these damned 24 kbps wavs to something itunes wont cry about
(for windows)
i know, lame. don't remind me
why not play it with VLC?
In case you want to play them in itunes just convert them to apple lossless and itunes will play them and you can upload them to your ipod in the lossless quality
on osx its MAX that does the conversion
just google "wav to apple lossless for windows" there should be a tool for windows too

the shipping back of the CD did cost me €3 again and I assume they will not even give me some free merch for it ...
well lets see I have not given up yet
hang on, they sent you Oversteps on CD by mistake, and asked you to send it back to them so they can send you the vinyl? hmmm, looks like a policy change has happened...back in the WarpMart days, they'd have let you keep the CD and would've sent you the vinyl as ordered. i would hope they'd at least reimburse you for the cost of posting it back to them.
I looked at the email again and they seem to refund it:
Hi ------We are very sorry for this error. We are going to look into the New Zealand issue with our shipping company. It is very strange.
Please return this CD to us at the following address, including a print out of this email. We will refund your postage cost from your original order. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
Bleep Returns
PO Box 25378
London
NW5 1GL
Kind regards
Bleep Support
then there was also this email a day later but I have no idea as I didn't buy it:
Hi there,I'm afraid that the Raster-Noton CD you ordered from us is out of stock. You have been refunded and the remainder of your order has been shipped. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Best regards,
Bleep Support

Ah nice
I am still waiting for oversteps from bleep
that's pretty shitty :( i know there's a lot of guys still waiting on it. it does seem like they're having some trouble there, someone's obviously fucked up big time.
i personally fell foul of what i guess to be a cock up when i ordered Four Tet's There Is Love In You - hadn't received it, after two weeks had to get in touch. they sent another one out straight away, but it was a bit annoying. they tried to say that there was more than likely a problem with Royal Mail, but a friend who lives close to me got his on time.
have you had any dialogue with Bleep over it yet?
yeah I did send them 2 emails and 4 replies came back from 2 different persons
one was even about some raster norton cd that had nothing to do with me
lol
I agree on the larger issue with the vinyls as one guy from the forum had the same issue receiving a cd from New Zealand instead of the vinyl which makes totally no sense
the shipping back of the CD did cost me €3 again and I assume they will not even give me some free merch for it ...
well lets see I have not given up yet

what are the 2 big white ones?
-
not vinyl but it makes the vinyl complete:
just out of curiosity, what is inside the inlay?
funny u ask:
I found it quite interesting that the clark track is that old and the plaid and seefeel tracks are that new:
I had the impression it was the other way round when I listend to them
the rest looks like this:
I did buy it basically as mp3s did not make my warp20 complete I wanted the flac / CD tracks and I had the impression something was missing without it
you should get it its really worth it

thx for recommending the FAX releases. very awesome! I knew I would like them as GAS - POP is one of my favorite ambient releases.
