  1. Ah good! Will be buying coming friday. Had a list of albums to buy waiting already. ;D
  2. Sounds like a good environment to train your physical and emotional (!!) immune system! ;D
  3. Stay strong, Rubin. One critical point though: I would never blame politics or the media for bad relationships with people close. That stuff is about relationships and emotional intelligence. You can't blame those on politics and media. Even if conflicts are often about those subjects. It's always a relational thing and the solution is outside the influence of media and politics. Or in other words, let's say you disagree with me and feel insulted by me, would you blame Trump? The media? That stuff would be between us. F the media and F Trump.
  4. I'm guessing voting by mail was still suppressing the Sanders voters? Only way he can lose is by suppression apparently... Biden Won Tuesday’s Primaries As Voters Embraced Voting By Mail https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/biden-won-tuesdays-primaries-as-voters-embraced-voting-by-mail/
  5. At what cost though. This thing is out there. We've all seen how fast this thing has travelled the entire globe. I'm sure China has some plan in place. But I'm sceptic about either the cost or how realistic it is. Either way, assuming that they (china) do have a viable/working alternative, why wouldn't there be multiple viable approaches? Not saying "there can be only one", right? And the thing with this alternative approach is that you're also actively working on controlling the virus. Just in a different way. It's not like there's no controlling mechanism present to keep the demand on the healthcare-system at a reasonable level. Really, it makes sense. If there's an alternative without having the risk of things exploding in your face, this is it, I reckon. And the China model is not a model which I would expect to work in Western societies, if I'm perfectly honest with you. People would not accept their freedom to be taken away for such long periods and in such intrusive ways.
  6. Don't think it's weird at all, actually. The question for China and SK is how and when they can get out of their lockdown without having this epidemic be back in a short time (and it will start all over again). There's still a worry there. Yeah they contained that shit, but now what? Indefinite lockdown? Is that realistic? Or in other words, those success stories are not the whole story. And that immediate success is not the same as long term success. If you can achieve 50% herd immunity in a controlled manner, there's no need to worry about this. That success will be longterm.
  7. Oops, we targeted to wrong herd. We weren't supposed to target the Boomers!!!!
  8. Dont worry! Still plenty time to stay home damo! ;D
  9. Our government in the Netherlands seems to have an interesting alternative approach to dealing with Covid-19. They're trying to establish group immunity. Therefore, the healthy low risk population need to get through this virus in a controlled way. (Unclear how, btw) With 50% of the population immune, the spread of the virus we be much harder. Their reasoning is based on the fact that vaccines are at least a year away, and a sudden complete lockdown only makes sense if a vaccine will be available on short term. Otherwise, you'll end up with an indefinite lockdown (until a vaccine becomes available). So our government argues it's better to have group immunity, than to go full Wuhan. I think it's an interesting take. One "but" though. They need to F-ing test people. On a broader scale. There's probably some reason that's not possible right now. People need to know where they are on this thing. Personally, had some fever last week. Didn't last too long though. Felt better last monday. Can't say I've had Covid-19. So who knows. But if immune, I want to have my "I'm fucking immune for this bitch!" Tshirt right away so life can go on again.
  10. Lovely reply by mehdi . Very on the nose, i should say ?
  11. Loving how it builds to the climax. Or, so far I mean.
  12. Didn't Romney recently propose to give a monthly $1000 to families, or something? Can't get much closer to socialism in the US, I imagine.
  13. ^^^ that's me eating (read: being force-fed) cooked zeff posts
  14. * sean puts fart online and tells his audience to put it in repeat the coming month * Sean, frt!
  15. It's going to be good for individual countries within the EU to have some kind of extra safeguard (the EU within this context is not much more than a big bag of money and a platform to organise EU-broad decision-making). Global crises like this will help the EU because cooperation is more important under these circumstances. The point about the economy is true, but please remember that without the EU, individual countries would - in all likelihood - be in much deeper shit. You could compare EU-membership to having an insurance, for instance. You want to be insured when you're in a crisis like this. And the more parties insured, the better.
  16. That and people will stop complying after a while. There's this point in the future which I'd like to call the "OK, lets get it over with already!" point. At which point I'll grab a beer and hang a Darwin poster on my wall. Praise Darwin! Ironically, it was a rather efficient way of self-isolation though. It's just that in both cases, the stuff happening inside might be ...euh ... suboptimal. Trying to be as politically correct as possible here. Please bare with me.
  17. You'd expect those kinds of mistakes from the Brexit country, of course! ;D
  18. I'm all for the preventive burning of churches, btw. But that's just the opinion of an atheist. ?
  19. If you - generalised you - are colourblind you might not see the difference anyways. Perhaps zeff needs to realise everybody is colourblind in this aspect. Might give him a bit more of a humanist approach to life. @zkomour supermarkets are already cashier-free. just scan your products and throw some digital money into a machine. that's it.

Fffff, if these guys set their minds to it, they'll release hundreds of hours of sessions, given their productivity in recent history. Need to set some money aside to instabuy their bleepstore collections. This gonna be years worth of listening material.... /headsplodes
  21. Yeah. Instead spent some time biking. Saw some people fishing and just walking and all that. Mostly friendly people as well. Friendly greetings and all that. More than usual. And rightly so, I guess. We have to get through this lockdown together (by having more freedom than just staying inside you house). Let's do it the pleasant way. I'm not interested to be in crowds anyways. Geez. It's not like we're living in Italy where there's three generations of a family living under a single roof. Fuck no. Already well-trained in this social isolation bit. Don't need my freedom of space to be taken away as well... ?
  22. @beer badgerShould call you wine, women and sodomy badger from now on ;D Anyways, this lockdown shit is going to annoy the F out of me. I can already tell. Tried to do some exercise today. The weather is fucking fantastic. Sunny and not much wind. I've got my own boat at the club, so I thought to spend some time on the water. Ideal conditions. Discovered the government ordered all clubs to be closed. Ffffff. I would have been completely alone on the water. Completely isolation proof. And there's a chance I already had Covid-19 and unable to transfer it to others now anyways. Damn. I need that water time. Good for a dose of vitamin D as well. #FirstWorldCrisisProblems ?

  24. Not sure if I think this is an effective ad. Imo, it would be more effective to show the impact of Trumps leadership on the decision making in the white house and the (should be) responsible government agencies. Instead if goes after Trumps (poor) attempts to calm the people (with nonsense). Basically, apart from the communication, there's no leadership. Is it Pence? Kushner? Someone else? Dr. Fauci? What about the CDC? Who's making the decisions? Based on what? Would be more effective if it wasn't just about Lying Trump, but about Chaos Trump.
