I always thought a few of the simple beat tracks/ambient ones were a bit older, cant remember where i got that from. still that beat could have been knocking aound for a while, the song doesnt strike me as a druqks outtake. he did said he made a lot of simple stuff at druqks times as well, "i have many simple tracks like Bbydhyonchord etc" i dont see why Orban Eq Trx4 can be in a druqks and Synthi cannot ...but theres a tape hiss, ofc, so yeah, everything is possible

yep, i addmited i got the whole idea/vibe slighly different. Im no engrish, so at that times i read interview, i thought pissed was angry. i was wrong BUT i got this idea combined (also from a mike interview) where he said rich was not 100% ok with an album or releasing it. So Joyrex was right basically, for the most part. IT'S STILL AWESOME ALBUM! also, several days ago i had this trip thru counry on buss for several hours. We were riding thru frozen winter wastelands, i was listening to soundcloud dump, thinking my thoughts, watching windows, when sun started to go down thru clouds in a perfect red sunset upon the glorious winert fields. I felt so far away and out of this world. And then Ssnb started to play. I literally cried. It was one of best moments of my last years. Richard i love you so so much. Thank you.

Man, I never would have thought the end product of being constantly angry, drunk and on acid could sound like that. That adds a whole new level of humor to future listens. Getting "Angry, Drunk and on Acid Vol. 2" doesn't seem very likely anymore. That's unfortunate (for us anyways). exactly! i knew before, that the whole album was done on acid in a couple of days but not so long ago i also discovered they also were drunk all the time (Vodka name/interviews suggests) but just listen to beady eyes, bububa, mr frosty, kangaroo... there all so warm and cozy and funny you can never tell rich "totally fucked up on drugs out of his mind and pissed off" did it maybe he's trolling

Joyrex, I mean literally, in one of the interviews (i dont remember which exactly, one of the last, I'll try to find it now) Rich said that "i dont like making music while I'm angry, it doesn't come out really good, like at the times me & Mike did that album, we were drunk and on acid all the time and i was pissed off/angry while doing it so i dont like it really" something like that. and i heard similar thigs from Mike, so i supposed it was true also the release of the album was delayed by 1-2 years, if i remember correctly? I thought it was because aphex didnt really wanted to release it and Mike wanted i can be mistaken ofc

oh gosh, i knew it was a slippery road I haven't said Syro is all cold, just at times...at little times. And only if you compare it to his old works. It's still has "more soul" than most of todays music. It's about the whole flavor. And i thought even richard acknowledged that, as he stated in last interviews. Of course i hear joy in papat4, its one of my all time favorites, i enojy and feel every second of Xmas eve etc. Maybe it's all mastering, who knows, or hes just matured so much. But he made this "plank" of emotions on purpose, so Syro will be accepted more as a pop and accesibble album that you can listen in whole family. It has no supper agressive vibes, or super goofy vibes, or really really sad and melanchonic vibes etc. It's something all people can like, something in between. While listening Syro, i cant become really angry or cry or laught my ass of. I enjoy it very differently. I totally understand why he did that, and i hope you get what Im trying to say here))

i wouldnt compare syro with soundcloud dump. Yes, syro is biger, clever, more detailed and all that, but old stuff is more...emotional and natural, some say "it has soul", how funny it wouldnt sound. Syro is so cold, mathematical and technical at times...but at no means it's boring. Each of em (syro/dump) makes you appreciate them very differently. It's like comparing beatles to hendrix. As an musician, i respect syro very fucking much, its an absolute masterpiece, what he's doing with analoge gear is beyound words. But as a human, i prefer his old stuff.

0_0 and there i was, thinking that syro sounds too polished and clean, wanting people to remaster the shit out of it, so it would became more like 90s raw and dirty, with loads of hiss and tape...tastes, huh?
