the American people are the government and the corporations tho, of course. we allow it to happen. no passes. we only deserve what we work for, as all things in life imo. if we don't wanna work hard enough to get good health care, raise the quality of education, etc., then we don't deserve it.
The pervasive cult of individuality that has ingrained US culture for at least a century is what is stopping any real progress to be made. If a big collective push for progressive things is to be made, then you have a fight against gerrymandering and lobbyists and a significant portion of the population so far gone in their brainwashing to be of any use to a movement. Just look at the approval rating of Trump, hovering around 40%, even with the avalanche of BS coming out from the WH. That group has a strong crab mentality. And honestly, the average american is dumb as fuck.

What is the problem with Corbyn? He seems like a good lad, compared to the ghouls on the other side.

Does anyone else get a strong Undertow vibe from the vox in 7empest?
Wouldn't surprise, that track apparently has riffage all the way from the undertow days, so having vox reminiscent of that time isn't a stretch. that track is an amalgamation of everything tool has done up until now.

why would you believe anything apartheid clyde says? even if musky has some sort of security clearance since he's involved with government contracts, i am sure it doesn't involve knowing this sort of stuff.

they are just interludes of various interest. just haven't listened enough to see how they alter the flow of the album. i guess they have a point since they released them.
-
the standard cd release will be a few weeks later and a vinyl version is also on the way.

for an 80 minute album it sure goes by fast. after 13 years, it more than delivers. now when is the next album coming?

so i guess the conversations at G-7 are about the u.s media. and weird- doesn't he always claim that nobody laughs at the united states anymore since he took office and made it the envy of the world?
i guess it's cool though since he's having a good laugh too
or the much more likely option, Trump is full of bullshit.

I'd watch a star wars movie with corrupted ewoks in a palpatine led death cult.

some of maynard's vocals in culling voices reminds me of you lied from salival....on my second run through, definitely a solid album. i wonder how it will flow with the digital exclusive interlude tracks.

just a couple of minutes into pneuma and already it has gave me reminders of right in two and schism..edit and vicarious...could it be that they really don't have much variety and doing variations on a theme this whole time...still sounds dope.

i think the only true way into deep, spiraling TOOL fandom is to discover them as a TEENAGE pseudo-intellectual stoner who hasn't had a girlfriend.

definitely feeling the reflection vibe on this track. perhaps they went with the most 'traditional' sounding track as the single and the other tracks are different. sounds like tool that's for sure. chapeau to them for creating their unique sound that is instantly recognizable as them. i will probably have it on heavy rotation once it's released and then not listen to it for a long while or until i need more twäng in my music diet from the usual bleepy bloopy shit.
lol checked the limited edition cd, expensive as fuck and all kind of bells and whistles.

One thing is sure, a significant percentage will still keep voting Tory even after the UK is in ruins.

Whoever designed the new seal has a knack for nuance, knowing that he'd be too stupid to realize that it were in fact a jab.
For a bunch of "patriots" ToiletPaperUS sure don't know what their dumb symbols look like to let that slip by.

Dem establishment leaders are useless as usual in actually doing their job, which is to keep the executive branch accountable. Nope, can't do impeachment, while there are concentration camps on the southern border and the administration is full on corruption. It seems that the GOP are playing by a completely different set of rules (or lack of them) and the only thing the Dems are worrying about it is decorum and optics. That has been the MO for the past two decades.
And the media is also absolutely useless on calling out Trump & co. corruption and bullshit. Sure, the NYT or some other 'liberal' rag can have an article critical of Trump but at the same time they have a human interest story about some nazi that got fired from their job because they were a nazi and how sad that made them feel. No need to mention the propaganda channel Fox News.
The US is one of those shithole countries Trump whined about.
