  1. While shlocky and badly written at times, I can appreciate it as a very slick looking show and having classic sci-fi tropes and went all epic and crazy. Captain Pike was on point and I want a show about him and crews adventures on the Enterprise. Discovery can fuck around in the far future like some Mass Effect game because some of the episodes could have been a Mass Effect DLC because I like shlocky scifi and when it's well produced it's even better.

  2. Looks and seems to work alright. A couple of minor gripes:

    • a darker theme, especially the message body is too bright for my taste
    • move the name of the poster in the quote box heading to the front instead of the time it was posted
    • the search doesn't seem to work, or is that a known issue already..or then i don't know how to use it...some results do come up, the active ones I guess

  3. Peterson was in no way prepared for this debate and I don't think he's even read Marx or anything on marxism. He was just straw-manning and got beat by said straw-man by a guy who lives in a dumpster behind the university. A real philosopher vs a charlatan.

  4. The bootleg recording of the clip that played in Star Wars celebration of the live-action series The Mandalorian made it seems like it could be a fun series. They should have released the sizzle reel for it online, but instead they thought it would be great for poorly filmed bootleg to be the audience first look at the first live-action Star Wars series ever.

  5. This is still so incredibly dumb. Is this what happens when your legislative body is filled with public school twits and archaic codes of conducts in a collapsed empire?

  6. What worries me about brexit is where will I order my records from? Shipping costs from the UK have usually been more reasonable than from Germany or other EU countries. After a no-deal brexit I would probably need to pay customs fees for them as well. I don't like it.

edit: also pre-emptive sorry for the food and medicine shortages UK.

  7. Corbyn is the jam. Stop hating him, who else has Labour to offer than him? Under his tenure Labour's numbers have gone up. Or are you people aching for more Tory ineptness and evil?

  8. Have smoked almost everyday for over a year (the longest break have been a couple of days at the most) and during that time I finally managed to get my bachelor's from uni and get a job. During the longest break, the worst I had was a little headache that went away after a few days. Moved to vaping weed (the vape cost me more than the rent i pay in a month) a couple of months ago, which also helped me quit smoking tobacco at the same time. Kicks like a mule, but smoking this often has definitely grown my tolerance for the stuff, which makes me think I should probably ease up on it to get more bang for the buck so to speak. I think I have a psychological addiction to it, in that I usually need to watch my movies, series and listen to music stoned to appreciate them. And I also rarely venture out among people if I have decided to get stoned. Cut down on my alcohol usage as well. So all in all it's been a net good, I guess.

  9. What a complete bumbling mess May and the Tories have been in negotiating brexit. What an omnishambles. It's like these people have no idea what they are doing. I think UK politics might be even more broken than the US. I think losing a globe spanning empire in a century might have caused some sort of national trauma and the UK is regressing back to being a pitiful wet island in the Atlantic with no friends. lol

I like Rogan, but he has some questionable friends.

Rogan's biggest fault is ironically his objective ethos. He's let on left-wing people and given them equal opportunity. If he coupled his openness to let anyone on with far more hard-hitting and thorough questions and discussion I would have no qualms with who he lets on. I think unfortunately he's enabling certain questionable guests and their questionable audiences more than even he realizes. He's like a bro enlightenedcentrist

Who are the left-wing people he has had on there? Seems to me he just has every flavor of right-wing over there to speak? Giving a platform to these people is reprehensible.

Yeah I’m a let you finish, but they are actually fucking idiots. _105826768_hi052628979.jpg

Is not something grown ups do in political debate.

Jeez hadnt seen that. I was trying to have some kind of defense for the madness... no need to explain where that got me. F-ing retards :/

Yeah, the GOP is irredeemable when it comes to Trump (and everything else). They are going to be carrying water for him until the end. These are not smart people, some are actually down right dumb, because they got elected by equally dumb people. These people are poisoned by Fox News and the likes. There might be GOP members in Congress that truly are horrified by Trump and the way their party is going, but by not stepping up and saying anything, they are as complicit in it as the dumbest members of their party who are fully behind Trump and truly believe he is a good president.

I think the last couple of years seen in the politics of the US and in the UK (and in other countries, my own as well), that being elected representatives in legislative bodies, does not automatically mean that they are competent or smart. That notion should be dead and buried by now. The privilege of being born white and rich goes a long way, especially in the US. No other skills or talents required.
