  1. seriously how do you guys have time to play all these games??? and post on watmm??? i play video games for a week and my life is in shambles, gf yelling at me, i'm eating complete shit, barely bathing.... or have i just answered my own question

I rarely play much of games at all nowadays. I consider playing more than an hour of a game(s) in one day a lot. And it's not because I'm busy, it's because I find it hard to muster the enthusiam to do it. Currently playing an hour of Resi Evil 1 HD remaster a night, which I'm not sure I'll complete.

Used to play all day as a kid though. Perhaps I'm just burned out.

  2. re: xboxobx, if it'd let me play run win10 and play my steam collection at 1080/60fps i'd be in. none of the xbox exclusives have ever enticed me to enter that ecosystem. hoping for some death stranding/ffvii news at sony's presentation tonite but not holding my breath.

Kojima has stated there will be no Death Standing at e3, so not holding your breath was wise.

  3. Home book: Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. Good so far, writing of a very high quality. Going to enjoy the next 500+ pages.

Work book: Even the Dogs by Jon Mcgregor is quite grim but also very good. I noticed with irony that I am using a £60 off wine voucher as a bookmark in a book where the main character dies of alcoholism (not a spoiler, you find this out immediately).

  4. that's just a random spam email. google the domain.

What if she finds out I googled her? We've barely talked, she doesn't know my name, but she found out my email address and sent to my spam folder, in comic sans. I think I live next door to Edward Snowden's mother. Who is drunk and lairy most nights, between cyber-sleuthing. She'll know. She's probably reading this...I can't take the risk...

It's a woman's voice I hear most of the time, and usually it's incomprehensible gibberish. She sounds like she's stringing vowels together (aaeoeooeoaooaooe!). If there's a man talking, he's very quiet. I've seen her in the morning and she's super polite. All 'oh hello, good morning' and so on.

Honestly, I find it funny more than annoying, and I can only really hear it if I go into the hallway. And she ends it with 'I will fight you every step of the way!' No way I'm talking to her! Been tempted to set a speaker outside her door and play Bob Marley's One Love through it though.

Sports? Maybe talks/screams in her sleep?

Then she would have to slam doors in her sleep too. And stomp around wearing elephant feet. No, definitely too many drinks that lead to her telling whoever it is what she does not like about them.

  5. So the music was recorded to tape (from what someone else said here?), then transferred to digital (presumably) so it could be pressed to vinyl , after which the vinyl was ripped to digital and then uploaded to youtube. Then, in time, someone will rip the audio from youtube and put it back into a digital format. After which, someone might press it back onto vinyl. Or 8-track tape.

The Rube Goldberg process of music sharing.

Finished another book. Super short at just over 160 pages, needs editing / proofing / the usual, but finished nonetheless and will be quicker to polish than the other huge things I've done. Then I can begin looking for an agent again. Oh boy!

That's not a stupid first world achievement. That's a real achievement.

Eh. If it survives editing / proofing, that'll be the real achievement. Usually comes apart during those processes. We shall see.

It took me 6 months to write my 40 page master's thesis so in my world writing 160 pages is fucking insane :)

At least the master's thesis earnt you something. My stuff just languishes on a HD. But thank you for the support regardless!

In my world, I don't think I could bear to write 40 pages of a thesis, even if shorter than 160. That's impressive me imo.

I spent a few hours in Photoshop and came up with some nice custom made artwork for iTunes, etc. Feel free to use it, but please credit me (jejunum art & design ltd.) if you repost it... Thanks!

Edit: I work in design for a living, so any exposure this might give me is most appreciated. Thanks again.

    not sure if joking

With artwork that good he's going to be head hunted for the Designer's Republic

  9. Out of the vinyl releases so far, this would be the one I'd be happiest to own. Sounds good!

Also, in this day and age, everything gets rereleased eventually. Maybe when he's/we're older, we'll get some fifty vinyl boxset from Warp. I can wait!

edit: I googled it and found the link so it's not very obscure
