  1. Also, American Gods returning soon, but without the amazeballs Gillian Anderson :(

I am a bit afraid for this. The showrunner left, his replacement got fired, they cut down the number of episodes and some of the cast left. Then there were reports of "on-set rewrites" and "improvised dialogue" when production finally got underway

The first season was amazing and I can't wait for more, but....yikes.

I'm further along in Steep and Aphex Twin - Flim was just the backdrop for a cutscene.  That one caught me off guard, but was perfect with snowy mountains of Japan.

Turns out the ost is riddled with very good music:

Is Steep any good? I flirted w/ getting it as a way to play a "totally chill" game as a counterpoint to the FPS intensity of COD and the Red Dead Redemptionness of RDR2 but stayed on the fence.

It definitely quenches that "totally chill" fix for a little while.  I was hoping it would fill the gap the Skate series left behind for me, but that was pipe dreams.

Oh man I would love another Skate

It's not Cool Boarders or SSX unfortunately, it's a bit dull. Currently free on PS+. Wouldn't buy it otherwise.

Sweet picks, so much good music bursts out of that city, Big Strick is (i think) the cousin of Omar S. If yer feeling Andres & Detroit he's a worthy addition.....

Detroit could be a thread in itself, where would you even begin? Nice problem though eh.

Dug the self-titled 3 Chairs lp out making dinner on Sunday, "System Sauce" (Chaka Khan sampled) & "Blackbone Waltz" define sublime:

I don't know too much of Big Strick's stuff, I'll check it out. That 3Chairs lp is a monster. This is like one of the best KDJ tracks ever

edit: woop that's off the first one

    Meanwhile back in Europe: https://hardwax.com/00800/soundstream/love-remedy/

    His hip hop production rules

    And the big hit

It annoys me he hasn’t set up a Bandcamp tbh. I’d happily pay money for just his ‘throw away test tracks’.

    +1

I don’t know what the jungle market is like these days, had just assumed he had plenty of releases out there based on the quality of his stuff.
