yeah it's wicked! Plaid normally have great designs. it's double sided and has the Trainer album art on the other side (which is a bit ugly imo).

the current incarnation of my 'stude.

i love Focus and play it often but i've never really got into Cynic's other albums. think i'll give this one a go tomorrow.I don´t know if I posted it before but Cynic - Traced In Air is perfect...

i'm still playing Fire Emblem Fates (Conquest). i got distracted from the main quest and started pairing everyone off to get their children. i've got most of the kids now so i'm going to try and clear the main story so i can move onto Tokyo Mirage Sessions (which i've brought but haven't played yet).

Chappie was fantastic. fuck y'all.

i recently brought 2 more of his (Colorless Tazaki and What I Talk About When I Talk About Running). something about his stuff keeps pulling me back in despite me never being sure if i like him or not. i enjoyed South of the Border right up until the end - it ends just when it gets going and it doesn't answer anything (typical Murakami).Finished Purity by Franzen. Not as good as Corrections / Freedom (no surprise, they were excellent) but it was definitely enjoyable.
Started on South of the Border by Haruki Murakami and is looking to be as melancholic as his other work. And short too, which is a plus! Too many eight hundred pages books to read atm.
i'm reading The Naked and the Dead (Norman Mailer) at the moment (a 700+ page novel). good stuff so far. some very purple prose keeps cropping up but he did write this in his early/mid 20s so it is mighty impressive considering.

recently read:
Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said - PKD (re-read)
Scale - Keith Buckley
Into The Miso Soup - Ryo Murakami
---
Flow My Tears is classic PKD. great book.
Scale is by the vocalist of one of my favourite bands (Every Time I Die) so i was pretty worried it would turn out shit, but it's good. not amazing, but good. he has a lot of potential as a writer so i hope he does more.
Into The Miso Soup was great too. i breezed through this over a few days. highly recommended this one.

EU finally got the new Fire Emblem so i'm playing that (got the Conquest version). so far i think this is the hardest I've played in the series. (playing on hard).
-
ohhhh shit that new Kvelertak is NICE. wasn't feeling the first song much but by the end i was way into it. those last 2 tracks are things of beauty (& destruction)!

2 recent orders from 2 separate record labels have fucked up recently. ordered a t shirt from Big Scary Monsters which hasn't arrived in over a month and Sargent House have messed up an order i made for 4 records (one is the wrong record).
both distributed by Awesome Merchandise so i don't feel good about using them again.
>:--[
i also have a record pre-ordered from each of them so lets pray those orders don't get fucked up too.

i forgot about that Foodman album - really weird stuff. i threw it on quite a lot when it released. awesome album art too.

On The Road is so boring. 2/3rds of the way through. i think i'm gonna drop it.
-
OPN seems busy as hell all the time. he's playing/played a lot of shows/touring after this. plus he seemed to do a lot of press. plus he's probably working on new stuff (he's pretty prolific), he might just look tired out.

i finally watched The Good The Bad And The Ugly and finished the dollars trilogy... it only took about a year. each film is better than the last. didn't realise it was 2 and 1/2 hours long. didn't feel like it. what a film!

bubb, blank, doublename and trilo have the correct opinions
ANY OTHER OPINION IS INCORRECT
Stephen is so wrong he needs to be banned IMMEDIATELY

NO
nah, don't think it was that unanimous. the people that liked it really liked it i guess but i would say the reaction to GoD amongst fans was mixed, or more so than you might imagine.
he truly transcended with Replica. he has been magical ever since.listened to Replica for the first time in ages, the Replica > R+7 > GoD transition is just crazy to think about
did we all agree that GOD was hands down the best album of 2015? p sure we did.
WE ALL AGREED IT WAS THE BEST ALBUM OF 2015

haven't really got into Gojira previously, kinda boring/middle of the road but that track is pretty catchy.
-

-
^^^ far from the best track on the album but the other tracks on YouTube are 240p ew. highly recommended. totally crushing.
-
vocals are amazing on this album. sounds like they recorded them through a telephone headset covered with a sock half way across the room. brutal.
