Some bits of info for the lazy cunts:

    - They fucked up the Primavera recording, so not sure if that will come out but they will release some probably in 2023, at the very least they would do a proper studio recording of the set and put that out.

if I understand: the recording of the Primavera is fucked up, so, probably, they will publish the next sets, while the Primavera one will be reconstructed in studio?
If so, it could mean that every single set will be very different from the others, and that for each one they have already studied a structure, to the point that not publishing one of the sets (in this case the Primavera) would mean losing an abundant part of work, not present elsewhere.

    - They have about 3.5 hours worth of material for this set, so it will likely change between dates. (They had too much time to work on it since covid)

Nobody would have been offended if, for this time, after two years of world nightmare, they had prepared a two-hour live instead of the traditional rigidity of just one hour.
    Autechre pls

    - Sean is a bit tired atm about the whole album concept and is a loads more into live things. He said it feels weird to do an album then it comes out like a year later and then they have to talk about it, while they are so over it.

The soundboard of a live, as far as I'm concerned, has the same weight as an album

    - They have soundboards of Oversteps Live and it might see a light of day sometime.

wtff ... so they have it!!!!!!! ... 12 years have passed, and with chronometric obsession, those soundboards are claimed with endless pls petitions.
Why they are not already on AE_STORE is something beyond my understanding: they would be immediately bought, and I would have a babelic spontaneous release of serotonin, that would make me a better person. If not for me, do it for those poor who have to live close to me

  2. my understanding of spoken english is estimated at 5 words out of 100, so i am understanding  just now, with yt subtitles, what i watched yesterday for 5 hours.
He talked a lot about cinema, and I would have liked to have his point of view on some things that, for vague and verbose reasons, I associate with Ae, but nothing, my handicap is insurmountable (and in any case he skipped the only question that I wrote in the most pathetically scholastic way possible), but it's ok, knowing that guy exists makes me sleep easy

  3. So, according to what he says, in these two years they have reworked and updated the liveset: what they play live represents Ae actuality. I would be curious, at this point, to know how the new set would have been 2 years ago, if there hadn't been the covid between the balls

  4. nothing, after walking around the living room table for a couple of hours, I had a breakdown. I listened to the first 5 minutes. That thing happens. Again. The clear knowledge of having something in your ears that goes beyond music.

ps: oversteps tour feeling a go go

  5. as I get older I see things change, the habit itself is so used to getting used that the very fact of being used creates a clamor, yet that Autechre thing immediately manages to bring me to the first time: now the problem is: I'll be able to get to July 1st without listening the bootleg? I don't think it's fking possible

  6. this piece by John Gibson also brings me back to n Cur

I have never delved into J. Gibson in the past, so now I discover amazing scenarios. in this case the repetition is insisted up to the addiction, and a bit like it happens with bqbqbq, it is the sum of intervals in the same beat that creates quantity of melodies

    and mesmerizing moments galore

The set starts. You hear a phone ring nearby. The agony. Your friends see you from the back of the club, unable to help. They hear you scream:
"No, this already belongs to my domestic experience, not here in the vital arc! Not my suspended state of identity!"

As reality crumbles around you, one of your friends grabs your shoulder. Cold sweat overcomes your body. You look into your friend's face only to realise.. the rumbling of parhelic triangles no longer reach you. You pull on your hair, whispering to the cigarette butts on the floor.. "Now I have become the pathetic triangle"

Look, Chronical! You just smashed my encounter with TMA-1

domestic experience made me laugh.. if that's your way to enjoy ae embrace it, tell your friends to fuck off you need this to yourself.. or dont bring friends in the first place

yep, poor guys.. those who come with me to Ae live know it: an hour before I disappear, to be found two or three hours later somewhere in fetal position: at this point they pick me up and take me home

  9. Personally, I find it almost necessary that the live material is unheard: in Ae case it's not exactly as if I were at a live, it's more an essential fact of loss of coordinates, a sort of radical event destined to occur a few times in the vital arc. Pathetic as it may seem, I need to have no one I know by my side, and possibly already be alone at least an hour before the lights go out. If during the live I listened to something that already belonged to my domestic experience, I would be abruptly torn out of that state of suspension of identity, I would think in analytical terms, and my encounter with TMA-1 would be irremediably smashed... maybe I took this Autechre thing a little too existentially? :cerious:

I've always found Terraforma lovely. Very Milan-ish, but unique. A 3 day festival where you can find high level artist playing under the sky in the middle of the trees. In electronic music that's kinda rare! Autechre in total black under the stars, wow! Also, DJs always take that chance for playing more eclectic sets and the lineup is usually good...
I remember Vladimir Ivkovic playing a 3-hours set of slow IDM at 2PM. For me, unforgettable

Anyway, I totally understand your point. Where you from?

I haven't been to the previous editions of the Terraforma, but friends have told me it's an absolutely cool situation.
Well, in the case of Ae, being something I can consider a sort of personal illness, I would definitely prefer a fully dedicated situation (the auric condition for onesix and - probably - this new tour, would actually be a theater), but yep, I'm sure it will be a great time (i mean... autechre in the woods!)
single nights tickets...  this is something I really hope for...

    i'm from La Spezia, you?

  11. in the meantime...
I'm waiting in the hope that terraforma will put out the one day only tickets, with the fear that this option will never appear and even the 3-days-ticket (150-fucking-euros) will run out. This, looking with sovereign resignation at Barbican and Helsinki M.C. pics. Lucky you northern people.

I reckon Staunch and Rolph need to work this sort of thing into their live Ae sets going forward

Yeah, especially Rolph, with that boldy manner, always beyond the margins of common sense. Born to sin.

Switch ''painting'' for any other artform.

yep, it's not entirely wrong ... but if we didn't find at least a little relief to digress about it, I'm afraid the ultimate meaning of the forum itself would vanish

Good track but how to play anything after r cazt? Only all end kinda works or something completely different like 6-36

..I thought too that after r catz my ears had heard everything they had to hear, that by now they were no longer strictly necessary, yet when n cur arrived, it was still possible to find myself on a slab of pack adrift

Vangelis did come to mind listening to Ae somewhat recently for me listening to wetgelis casual interval.

Even in oversteps there may be some echo of this. I think of Yuop, when the first high notes come in.

Sonically, it feels like a snippet of eastre (as far as S&R are concerned) but this piece you've shared by the Greek synth maestro (eat shit Yanni team Vangelis all the way lol) does sound like a number of things the lads have done recently in a number of facets, some of the patches (both some of the early twinkles and the pads), as well as something in its melodic sense. Good call, this is a truly beautiful piece. I'll have to check out the rest of this score.

The rest of the soundtrack focuses on the variations of the main motif, which is a bit more melodramatic.

When the movie came out, however, there was this track in the trailer. It was 1983, I was 5, or just turned 6, yet those notes associated with the arctic void hit me immediately, so much so that my parents had to take me to the cinema. I don't know, is a certain type of susceptibility to certain things probably born or matured very early? Because I remember that other my peers were interested in the film because yes, you could see the killer whale, the adventure, but no one - from the trailer - felt that sense of cosmic tragedy. Until they saw the movie of course.

the US trailer is different from the Italian one (for us it takes a bit of sensationalism, like the killer whale, in fact, otherwise we can't do it :cisfor:), but at a certain point carefree counter dronal, also turns up:

ah yeah, that was a fun one!

i think the most "idm" stage might actually be that small segment between the final boss and level ∞, so cool:

Yeah, this is the kubrisque ending: fucking³ amazing

After writing the post, yesterday, I realized that it is in fact a music game - at first I thought it was a hallucinatory version of Wipeout-, this changes everything. Sure, you really have to be Ryan Friedrich to get to the bottom of it, but it is enough to see others play to make the dendrons happy.
The soundtrack has also been released, but it contains only the background, not the fuckery.
    Chapeau Brian Gibson!

also: in a context like this I would see well - with a euphemism - the brothers of Rochdale: playing you are forced to get it
