lol, no reason to be so serious, it's all harmless fun.
I will admit, I am somewhat confused by the people who are saying 'MORE MORE MORE' when the guy has released 100s of tracks in a very short time span.
What's wrong with being excited or looking forward to new tracks? It's not like we are ungrateful for what we got or anything.
And it's not like I don't appreciate them, I still find myself listening to lots of those tracks now...
Rdj suggested a lot of releases so I think it's normal to look forward to them.

I had this idea a couple of days ago, why not do a watmm interview with rdj? I think he even migt be willing to do this...
We might collect questions from all users, select the most interesting ones or something and send them to him.

I like that we keep getting these glimpses into some of his production tools of older stuff. Supercollider, whatever tracker he mentioned, etc.
I'd like to see his philosophy on music making. I remember he said he wanted to mostly talk about his philosophy that in that SUPER LONG interview, then proceeded to literally JUST talk about gear
. He mostly talks about gear, which is mostly interchangeable and not particularly interesting... well mostly since I only occasionally use hardware.Yes same here, don't use hardware at all so my knowledge is very limited. But I assume it must be so interesting for the people who do!
I did tread the whole Syrobonkers interview, man I only understood like 5% of it :)

yeah, i'd be happy with any kind of melodies from mars
i could be off a little on the tuss timing. even if it was the same time, that doesn't mean it's a tussified melodies from mars. i have to wonder, though
a tussified MfM would be amazing.
I truly hope it's a re-do, man that would be so damn great!!! Although I'd be happy with anything at this point...
oh come on we've gotten like 300 new tracks the past year and a half xD

Saw this as a response to a question by Ivan Ooze on the SC page:
If you got Syro on vinyl, check the back side or the inner side of the sleeve, there is a line somewhere that says "Croissants for DAZED & CONFUSED listening", I think this pretty much confirms it.
Is this being discussed somewhere? Thought there was a thread about the Die Antwoord new tracks where GOD was thought to be Aphex, but can't find it anymore...
Now I must say I'm no fan of Die Antwoord, but this is a brilliant find.

oh, so he is getting around to it! Looks like he's punctuating his releases over time and I bet culminating in the next aphex twin album, then he will go into hibernation again.
I like the fact it's always a good bit of time between releases. If we just got everything 3 weeks after each other, like he said he wanted to release, then there would be less time to appreciate it, also feels like he's around longer when there are a number of months between releases. It would have just felt like one large blip if he had just released everything in one time period.I agree with the second part, hopefully no hibernation though...

Don't understand why Soundcloud just doesn't delete these spammers. Should be an easy enough thing to do no?
Just fix up a flagging system and automatically block their account and delete all their activity...
Ah well, maybe this will be all gone once Soundcloud starts asking money for their services... Couldn't imagine people paying just to spam.

Most of the songs of the SC dump are on youtube, you could start there! Or dwl the whole dump from WATMM and then upload them to Google Play Music account!!!

I don't have a PC at the moment :( please help, I haven't listen to 4 ACH in ageesI know there's a soundcloud app for android. Is that not working for streaming/have you tried that?

Hurrrghh, I'm about half a dozen tracks away from finishing the whole SCD (from the watmm link) from beginning to end. I started 2 weeks ago and began whittling my way through them just in case I'd missed great tunes (lifetrack2 eq, summer2, stringslush and 24 ems-aliasmgroove) or disregarded tunes that were worth keeping (symbonsad, 70's tune, spacebeat, random fx). Still don't get the love for the cheetah tracks. Though I'll never vote in the soundcloud poll it's been a great reference point for going along with each tune and seeing how many votes were cast.
I'm all AFX'd out right now for sure but in a good way. A good job done
I'm in the middle of doing almost the same thing.
Trying to re-listen to the tracks I had not put in my first selection, so gotten forgotten a bit.
Surprisingly (or maybe not) there are some gems I missed, and I wonder how...
Well people change and so does taste and mind state.

My pessimistic brain thinks that he might be done for a while. He seemed to retract pretty quickly. Obviously focusing on music, and might be out of that releasing music mood.
Therefore, I think Joyrex should have another kickstarter for another lost record of his.

yeah wtf, maybe you can edit that with a premium pro account?
Weird thing is that if you click on the track in SC it shows 1 day...
Maybe something wrong with sc or some setting in the pro account you can customize.

Really hope there's some unheard tracks on the ep, well first of all I hope it's not hoax.
