I spent a year learning c major and now I'm moving on to a minor

edit: genuinely didn't mean for this dumb post to sound like a Matt Gaetz quote

Reminds me of a thing my grandpa used to tell me.

Fuck them before they can talk, so they wont tell on you.

I think that it does not matter whether you can hear sounds in your head or not, or whether you can train yourself to do it or not.

There as many creative processes as there are creators, so it's just a matter of finding what works for you. But it is probably right that to be good at music, you have to figure out some feedback process and train your feelings to guide you.

Uh what makes you think I can imagine?

i was just jokingly responding to the mentioned people that apparently exist that don't have an internal monologue.

zephyr nova is a pretty good singer.

why this question though? just something that randomly popped into your head or what? how about you btw? how's your vibrato?

I cant sing for shit. I always try to think the pitch really hard but it never sounds the same lol. I also have this weird tremolo i cant control.

I wonderd if being able to sing says something about how good your pitch perception is.

for some reason i also struggle more on pitch perception on vocals instead of instruments,

  4. Yea i feel like that is how its supposed to be. I cant help but overthink everything as of late and totally takes the joy out of things.

I used to get goosebumps lot when listening to music, but ever since this whole "how are u actually supposed to be listening to music" that seems to have faded away.

Its a totally dumb thought and idk why it keeps infiltrating my brain.

Same with trying to sleep i keep thinking about how to fall asleep but its not thinking about it that helps u fall asleep faster.

the 10 best releases i heard this year in a vaguely most-listened-to order:

Tom Hall - Failed Attempts At Silence

DJ Stingray 313 - Molecular Level Solutions
Andy Stott - Never The Right Time
    Datassette - Zetex
    Barker - BARKER002
    Tony Jaguar - No Return
    Taylor Deupree - Mur

and honorable mentions that i listened to a lot but not as much as those^ (or only recently heard) and are also very good, in no particular order:

    Synalegg - Patchwork-02
    exm - Post Acuem
Owen Gilbride - I heard the sound of violence, far off
    Core Alter - m-Realizable
    Holy Other - Lieve

    Arovane - Reihen
    André Gonçalves - Grnlr
    D. Strange - Variants
    Carrier Signal - Disconnected Trajectories

    Marc Etel - to
    Melted_Self - Distants

    Fronteirer - Oxidized
    SDEM - Fliter
    Dravier - Spring 2020 Euro Tour CD-R
    Florian Kupfer - Unit
Sam Wilkes - One Theme & Subsequent Improvisations

i'm too lazy to link all of them but i think they're all obtained through Bandcamp so available on my collection list: https://bandcamp.com/araucariaceae

That blush album really hits the right spot for me.

and wow that Taylor Deupree album.
