Not trying to hurt any feelings but most consumer "security" you think you can make yourself "safe" with is cosplay. Keep paying for VPNs though if it makes you feel better.
I did enterprise networking, firewalls, system administration, threat and vulnerability management, reverse engineering, incident response, etc for 15 years as a career. A lot of that time was also spent on continuing education and training, working with law enforcement, attending conferences, collaborating with vendors to help them add capabilities to their products, etc. I'm reasonably educated with signals intelligence and countermeasures as it relates to the basic internet communications domain for commercial use.
If you wind up on someone's radar who wants to see what you're up to, you aren't going to get out from under that. Not saying that's right or wrong, it's just reality.

Roughly 30% of Americans have "smart" speakers in their homes. Commercial wiretaps. A lot of surveillance cameras hooked up to cloud services too. The market has spoken. Nobody seems to care and they actually pay to be mined.
I used to try to reduce my footprint but at this point you're probably better off just blending in with the noise. You stand out more if you try not to stand out. I'm still not going to be buying a smart speaker or using voice commands but unless you want to just completely avoid society you're going to be cataloged in a system somewhere nowadays, it's just unavoidable.

I saw a tweet later where someone debunked that but I didn't bookmark it

Dammit Behringer! Making me want to spend money.
I love the oscillator arpeggiator cycling feature of the Mono/Poly. It's like instant Vitalic sound.

Yeah the medcram videos are good, dude has been doing videos for years. A lot of med folks have been shifting to covid videos lending their perspective but they def are not 5 minute quick takes with slick production and bullet points.

^ good stuff on that yt channel too

I find is kinda weird that the US military has banned people with Covid. They're like "nope!" Probably don't want the liability of someone possibly getting permanent damage from it.
But that's ok! Everyone else go back to work!

Could a mod please edit the first post in this thread so that it contains the actual RDJ soundcloud dump?
Just pin a "best answer" with a link to the archive.org dump. I thought there used to be a mega upload URL pinned but maybe they got rid of the mega site.
If there's a more current dump available just pin that
That's assuming anyone wants to bother with pinning or editing posts. Or just do a google search it's pretty easy to find.

My layman understanding is that it depends on the contracts artists sign, probably no one size fits all on licensing deals.

What is a "top-of-the-range face mask?" Haven't heard that term before.

I'm glad he makes music and shares his music with others. Also puts on a great show.

I thought the Elon / Grimes baby thing was a social media joke thing, didn't know it was real

So I guess 1000+ deaths per day in the US is the go forward strategy now, that seems to be the baseline

reddit fed up waiting for the bleepstore update and put up a petition for digilords.
I figure he can't be bothered with it, probably too much work to do all the administrative stuff with licensing etc.

He probably won't live to 40
That hat is fetching

^ yep! Also you can't really prove a negative. You can have your stuff locked down like a fortress but there could still be a zero day being exploited right under your nose and you wouldn't know it.
