    I dunno why but i have a feeling that sam and rod gonna touch a wider audience with this batch of new music

    the reason you don't know why is because it's quite absurd ;P. not that they wouldn't deserve it but imo this is definitely advanced listening... even for dedicated fanbois. the unusal format might make for a ruckus in the media for a while but that's about it... speaking of which: curious what they'll come up with and when... with such a load to digest. "6.8/10 tl;dl."

    Well usually my friends who are not into Ae say "how can u listen to this allday" lol ? But this time, they were "hmm that track is quiet nice actually"

    Maybe they understand the power of Ae now and are future fanbois ? :)

    fuck frolix is so freakishly beautiful, like riding storm clouds over neo tokyo. another winner in a run of great 4-2-the-floor chunes (tankor, y7, m62,...).

    i'm probably still too awed just by the sheer scope of it, will need much more time of familiarization for a final verdict, but right now i got nothing but superlatives swirling through my head.

     

    i don't see why anyone would bother the meandering nature of alot of tracks, that's what they pretty much always did with exceptions proving the rule (eg untilted, on which most tunes go through a series of sections). perfect for zoning out as well as concentrated listening. like alot of people already people already pointed out some of the melodic content feels strangely nostalgic, 13x is fucking heartwrenching :( ...

     

    no outliers to be spotted so far but this is the cream of the crop for me atm:

    13x0, chimer, acdc, the whole of eq5 really (pendulu - foucaulx = flawless sequence)

    this is so fucking next level in every conceivable regard it's not even funny. immersion 2.0.

     

    spT kinda reminds me of outpt from ep7 only much darker and hip hoppier... deffo one of many favs atm.

     

    it's obv is the next 'major' release. doesn't get more major than this.

    First I want to say how I absolutelly loved 'spaces how V'. It's incredible how they turned the very best part from the Oversteps Tour (my favourite work from ae) patch into something almost like an orchestra epic. Full of moments of space and increasing complexity... perfect!

     

    yeh man the first half was fucking perfect just now, totally getting the orchestra vibe. sp and this one got a tron thing going.

    For those who bought 24-WAV, did it come with the mp3 versions, too (like AE-Live)?

     

    yep, you get any format with the 24-wav purchase.

    had to take a break, only got to mesh by now but still, at least so far: no, no jammy release like quadrange. autechre's trademark meticulousness is in full effect here. this shit is edited as fuck. jav, don't judge it from snippets, sit through the whole thing, it's an experience. also really like how tracks seem to have a dramatic over-arc connecting each other. i feel it has a certain narrative quality, album feel fo sho. freaking stoked i'm supposed to only be at midpoint by now, it's been such a ride already. this shit is a fucking gift, like really.

     

    edit: yeh there are snippets of live stuff here and there but c16 is the only track really recognizable as being directly extracted from it.

    10 min into pendulu hv and thinking the same... just... omfg. PLENTY of developement! this one and 13x0 are fucking massive and still so much ahead of me... T_T 6852 meets deco loc meets dafuq what.
