  1. I'm still waiting for that little melody that appears about 30minutes into the Untilted set to appear on a track. You know the one...
  2. PS - Until some place like What.CD or Waffles says they have it, it hasnt leaked yet.
  3. Okay... I listened to it. Sounds like 3tronik b-sides or something. Maybe extra crunchy early Y2K Morr Music type stuff. Technically speaking, it's okay-ish... but more like 3rd-wave "icey" type IDM. A lot of VST effect usage and overall kind of muddy in the mix. Whoever wrote this knows what they are doing to a degree, but it sounds too derivative.
  4. Can someone mirror this rar to Mediafire or something? n/m
  5. Found it!!! (from my post in 2007) ..."there's not gonna be a bootleg soundboard recording of this tour. they are using their own soundman for this tour and this dude is sitting there at the board doing there sound @ every show. no way he is going to let anyone come in and record it. he is a direct employee (and probably a friend) of autechre. if you want to prevent people from getting soundboard recordings, this is the perfect way to do it. BUT, it has been reported that autechre are soundboard recording their own shows this tour. i have a feeling that when the tour is over some of these recordings may be released by the band somehow. perhaps via their website? there really should be some sort of high quality document of their live performancees. His name is Jaimie. He works for Warp and also works with Plaid and SquarePusher. I talked to him for 15 minutes after the show last night. Neither a soundboard recording nor a "live" release is going to happen. I told him a shit ton of people would pay several times the cost of the limited edition copy of Quaristice for a proper recording of this set. He said he hears that at every venue and it still is not going to happen. He said what's going on is a real-time event unique to that evening, its dependent on the space (and wouldnt translate to a board recording) and it wouldnt be fair to the "fans" who paid to see them live if they released this. He said the improvisational quality of the performance was a special treat for people to hear that one time only, for that night. Personally, I think this statement is basically bullshit in light of the fact that audience recordings so far suggest this set is nearly following the same structure each night. He also suggested that to record it would be to lose the space in the recording, and that would make them sound retarded or something. I argued that this tour was better than the past two albums together.... To that, he didnt say this, but I couldnt help but feel that his tone suggested that Autechre knew it was better. He also said that they could make 4 times as much money if they had vocals over their stuff, but that takes away from what they are doing AND it proves they wouldnt release a proper recording of the set "just for the money." He basically said he felt this was the best material they have ever done. He also said the Brooklyn show was the best show of the tour so far. I told him I have a recording of him saying "it was illegal to record that" in Vancouver. He was really surprised. I told him I thought it was weird that they werent into recording since I recently read in print that they said it was ok. He kind of blew that off. I also said I knew that he recorded the Portland show. Weirdly he denied it at first, then admitted it. He asked how I knew all this shit and where I got my recordings, which I thought was weird. Finally, I mentioned the 2005 soundboard recording and he knew about that. He was PISSED. He said that wont ever happen again, that they were sneaky bastards, and that he would basically kill who ever did that. I guess that implies that Autechre was really mad that the recording saw the light of day. Fuck it, that recording made me listen to ALL their shit even more. Needless to say, to get a soundboard recording, you're going to have to slip into the board WAY before anyone goes on and hide your shit so he doesnt see it... To that end, you'd have to step away for the rest of the show, hope you get everything clearly, and then grab your shit before he breaks down. I dont know if this is the case everywhere, but in Philly he stayed behind the board and never left after the show... He broke down, so if anyone was plugged where he couldnt see it, he would have found it anyway FWIW, I dont how anything that could record the entire night, with good quality, and not be detected. Maybe if someone slips some Ipecac into his beer, he would have to reliquish his post, and someone could plug in while he steps off the board to puke his guts out. If someone pulled that shit off, that would be fucking balls...."
  6. Shit... I wonder where that post was. Damn it. Wouldnt know where to begin to look. Was it on XLT?
  7. nah, Adam Jones is the guitarist for Tool... I forget that guys name... If I remember correctly it was a technically androgynous (yet heavily female) name like Dana or Kelley.
  8. I met Adam Jones at Autechre's Untilted-era gig when they were in LA. He was kind of taken aback that someone recognized him.
  9. Is that article online anywhere or did they send you a PDF? Just saw the site. Is the article called "Fake Files?"
  10. Yeah, I was just scouring all those Tool forums. Man, I waste some time with this shit. I gotta stop. HAHAHA
  11. found it... ------------------------------------------------------- And moar!
  12. Heh, I made that one fake tool cover that people were flipping out over.... weird dark cavernous image with golden glitchy poop-like structures floating.
  13. expert knob twiddlers board Hmmm... I'd like to see the thread where this is posted. Wait... I just realized EKT as in on WATMM > EKT. Duh! I bet I actually started that thread with the track in there. Haha.
  14. I'll have to look around and see what i have and compile them together. Was everything on Last.fm 128?
  15. there's a few stuff up here... http://www.last.fm/music/Premodea
  16. Heh, I actually thought about that, then I said fuck it.. I'll throw them in again. I never expected people would have actually saved that shit. I hope the obviousness of the joke was there though. If not, sorry for fooling anyone who missed out the first go around (2005) Thanks!
