I hate the video. Not funny.
Tom Skerritt is inherently funny, though.
edit: objectively

This gives me an idea, though
WATMM makes shoes in tribute to Alexander McQueen by using pieces of his corpse

it's not about having money or not, they are cool shoes. I think you missed my point..
Nah, I mean, aesthetically I'm not into them (primarily because I've seen too many dead, skinned things IRL [don't ask [my dad's a serial killer]])but if you think they look cool there's no harm there.
Iain, I just meant you couldn't actually, like, walk a mile in those shoes without destroying them or tripping.

See, the thing is, that's not a functional shoe. It's a conspicuous consumption "art" piece that's meant to look "authentic" and "hand-crafted" despite the fact that any self-respecting craftsman would take the time to rubber dip a sole properly/carefully and to clean up the slag, rather than just show off the shoe's authentic handcraftedness by making something unwearable. But whatever, different strokes for different fucking trust fund kids.

Pretty sure Gein could handle an X-Acto knife and clean those travesties up
I mean, remove that totally authentic dripping rubber, what an asshole

For work:
Also in black.
Cole Haan dress shoes have these integrated, concealed Nike Aire soles; basically the only thing that makes wearing business attire daily somewhat less terrible. They're actually comfortable enough that I wear them with jeans too, for casual shit.
I wear some old sneakers to the gym, the two times a year I go. Otherwise, I have some Doc Martens like these:
And some broken-in Rainbow sandals for making quick runs out of the house or just kicking around. I used to hate sandals but these are actually comfortable once they break in.

Dreamed I was an Eskimo
Frozen wind began to blow
Under my boots 'n around my toe
Frost had bit the ground below
(Boop-boop aiee-ay-ah!)
Was a hundred degrees below zero
And my momma cried:
Boo-a-hoo hoo-ooo
And my momma cried:
Nanook-a, no no (no no . . . )
Nanook-a, no no (no no . . . )
Don't be a naughty Eskimo-wo-oh
Save your money: don't go to the show
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
Well I turned around an' I said:
HO HO
An' the Northern Lites commenced t' glow
An' she said
With a tear in her eye:
WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO
AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW
WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO
AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW

didn't read thread, sorry.
however...
a friend and i had an awesome idea for an Alien prequel movie, but more likely, (because of Newt's actress being older now) an Alien prequel video game.
so, the story would unfold from Newt's perspective, right where her parents and brother were killed by the Aliens when they found that spaceship. and, since she was the sole survivor of her entire colony, it would be the story of Newt avoiding the Aliens until the end of the game where Ripley finds her underneath the floorboards in her safehold in the colony. the gameplay would be entirely defense based. Newt would brave the architecture of the alien-riddled colony for food and water without the use of weapons or technology in any sense, while her friends and neighbors would be picked off one by one. it would be an entirely strategy-driven game/movie, etc.
i'm such a dork.
Would play!
Fun fact: Carrie Henn, the girl who played Newt, never acted again after Aliens.

At least it's not Tony Scott, looking on the bright side and all.

Kirkman wrote the last episode.
