I took a photograph of a kingfisher, a very rare bird that looks exotic with its vibrant colours:

Kingfishers are amazing and quite common in India. I see lots of these in Goa on the daily. Including an amazing stork billed one nesting in a coconut tree near the river by my house.

yeah, ended up watching all this though. it was interesting to see the previous manager talk about her experience or the guy that was a resident during the 80s but would've been nice to have more details rather than wasting time with all the internet sleuths and their "theories" of what happened to elisa.

a better doc is the best hotel in skid row indifferently narrated by bukowski

    oh shit great recco!

  3. Fuck yeah I'm all over this! I guess TASCAM's not exactly positioned as a new album, but rather snapshots of bedroom studio experiments from the last decade. Slug in particular caught my attention, which features some deep and dark improvisations not previously heard in the Night Sequels / Freescha cannon.

Apparently more such transmissions to be expected in the future!

Music for 3 Books compiles all 17 tracks originally released as bonus digital EPs when purchasing the first three Ramblings of a Madman zines/mini books, released between 2017-2019. They're compiled here as an album, available digitally, and also as a CD pre-order, shipping on 15th March.

The 2017-2020 Calendar Albums are also now available on Bandcamp as full releases. On each page is a pre-order for a vinyl release: "what was considered the best tracks have been selected from the 4 calendar albums and reassembled on the 180g vinyl", shipping on the same day.

Nice! Is there any actual tracklisting for the vinyl compilation anywhere?

  5. Some more Ficus from my side. These Living Root Bridges took my breath away when I saw them a few years ago. What really stood out was how the knowledge to build and maintain these bridges passes down from generation to generation (trees planted 250 years ago etc). Beyond bridges, the Khasi Tribe's also make living root ladders and even bleachers!

  6. Banyan trees here in Goa are my fav. Home to king cobras, saddhus and perma-fried hippies alike. Too bad they are being felled left right and centre to make way for apartment blocks.

  8. Did you manage to grab this? Can't see it on his bandcamp page anymore. There was recently a Coil collabo that disappeared of his bandcamp as well entitled 'Spectre Over Albion'.

A Spectre Over Albion is Drew Mulholland's penultimate collaboration with Coil. Manipulated sounds from 1970's hypnotic regression therapy tapes....Not for the faint hearted.
