I really dig that Metamorphasis track. Very relaxing and nostalgic sounding!

Lets try that again as the link wasn't embedded. Let us know what you think guys!!!
I like this one. Its catchy and easy to dance to. I was not a fan of that synth that comes in around the 2:00, but other than that I don't have any issues. I thought the funniest part was when you flipped that "6 million ways to die" sample and instead made it say "6666" lol

loved this. chaotic but tuneful. i'm also a dad, though not a super new one, and yeah man, it's impossible to make time for hobbies. you're best bet is try to get them into it by having them mess with your equipment and dancing. my girls occasionally request "crazy music" which is basically anything off of Drukqs, and they run around like crazies. i'll be sure to play them this one
Thanks, man! My daughter is still in the newborn state, so I basically sneak sessions in when she's sleeping. Being sleep deprived certainly makes things trickier.
TBH, if I ever got to your state as you described I'd feel like I was a successful father. You should be super proud, cheers! #dadgoals

I think Yang's comment about how our personal data should be treated as personal property was the smartest thing said that night.

After debating various mixers/interfaces, I ended up getting myself a Zoom L-20.
I am very happy with it so far. I didn't realize how nice of a feature "auto-record" is.

Really dig that first track. Nice and aggressive glitch.

Figured I would start my own thread.
As a new father, my time is extremely limited and most of my "experiments" are reduced to occasional modular noodling while working from home.
First track is a jungle tune I made the other week.

I mess with the genre every now and then.
Overall I find it a pain in the ass to make, but fun to listen to

would get annoyed with the xlr inputs and auxes that I'd have to get adapters for. This is only based on having taken a 5 minute look at each though.
While I would have to get some XLR cables, the first 10 inputs on the ui24r are combo jacks, and that would still take care of my current setup. I'm guessing the ability to easily stereo link them is also a huge plus over hard panning mono channels, but those channels would be analog on the Tascam ...

FWIW I've used quite a bit of Behringer stuff I really like over the years but the Behringer mixers I've used aren't on that list (but they've all been bottom of the line Xenyx stuff, I've heard good things about their higher end mixers made in the past 5 or 6 years).
I was considering the X32 Producer and XR18 for a while. After watching a detailed video on the X32 it seemed a bit dated, expensive, and the interface is fiddly. I'd also have to swap my largely 1/4 TRS cable collection into XLR's.
The XR18 on the other hand seems great as I could save a few dollars. I am not sure if the UI is as fully featured as the Soundcraft, and I am not sure if I'm willing to give up that Lexicon reverb.

I need a mixer that can also act as a multitrack interface for recording gigs/jam sessions and regular production sessions.
Debating between the sexy but limited Tascam Model 24 and the compact but powerful Soundcraft UI24R. I have no idea what to do.
Any experience with either of these devices?

Joining this convo way too late, my daughter arrived around the same time this album was announced and dropped.
Upon initial listening, I don't think this is the best tool album ever, I do think its one I feel blessed to have. 7empest might be the second best tool song ever.

Everytime I mess with the RAM machines on my MD it makes me want to mess with an OT

nearly 100%'d bloodstained (the map at least, still tons of items to craft and shit). played waaaay too much of it the past couple of weeks.
Myself as well, got the cartographer trophy and now not sure what to do next. I do know there are 2 secret bosses, not sure how to trigger the "creator" one. Also havn't started NG+ because I'm not sure how to do it lol. I also never discovered any alternative characters to play as unless thats coming as DLC later.

Kind of want an Analog Heat now. How are the filters, I've heard they are a bit aggressive?
Filter sounds amazing, however I have a MK1 and was turned off by how stiff and rigid the knobs are. Not sure if it was just my unit or not.

I have a buddy whose MD had a busted MIDI out and Master Volume pot. He opened the thing and fixed it himself without any real EE knowledge, just did shit tons of research, and combed the forums. He told Elektron about it, and actually got them to mail him an SDK kit.
So there is hope for broken Elektrons.

Yeah, great stuff, keep it up!

Only light wizards on the album cover.

I'm also in the market for an audio interface. I'm leaning towards usb 2.0 just because of how compatible it would be between my mac and windows machines.

Is there a way to generate a random kit?
A very clever buddy of mine actually did this.
He made a max patch that basically loads random kits, patterns, params etc. Its fucking brilliant.

Please tip this guy beer.

Only 2x84hp for the moment. Gonna build something I can play like an instrument, or at least as one voice I can sequence/clock with my OT. Limiting myself to 1 module or $500 per month, though that seems a bit absurd. I don't need a wall of modules, especially considering how much other gear I have, so just a nice voice+effects will do me for the time being. I'm very happy that Elements is a nice synth voice on its own. Maths next :P
Yeah right ...
