i had a spring clean of bits and pieces i no longer need and now have 1900 to spend on something drummy. considering a Rytm mk2 but it just seems so expensive. im kind of leaning towards ableton push 2, an ssf entity bassdrum, a noise engineering basilimus iterus, a moog drummer from another mother, and a varigate 8+ instead. think you could get some real twisted shit with that setup.

fuck damn it was fun to mess around. I did not really know what I was doing most of the time and when I finished all the cords were a huge jungle and I could not understand what goes where anymore.

I can't lie, parameter-locking and some of the other automation features make it feel like working in Logic, or Audacity et al.. I suppose that's what makes Elektron boxes so cool? They're not very instant - a whole lot of preparation is involved. A:B logic is a fun, if math-heavy exercise when thinking about sounds and their duration.
Its surprising how much variation you can get from a single pattern.

Its been fun trying to order a Digitone. I ordered mine on the 26th (the day after the announcement) and I was 239th in line and apparently there is a ton behind me. Last I was quoted was April :(
