    @digit

    sure did. ? he's also glad for being able to listen to the set himself. that's some idm knighthood right there, grats!

    yeah, that was pretty cool to hear for sure. i'm glad he liked it and that he has a copy of his own set to listen to now! ?

    this confirms that they really didn't record this tour, which figures since yeah, they would have released it by now if they did.

    this AMA was great. Sean seems like a real chill down to earth bloke. straight forward no bs. it's always interesting hearing his take on things.

    I think the more words we get in, the better. Digit and ios can post whatever they want to have in there. But here is a little more updated...

    this looks cool. i would remove the 'ae production booth/brown' part, tho. it is clear this is a replications of ae's work based on the title, but they themselves didn't actually work on this reproduction (other than supplying the patches of course) as it's a fan effort. i'm not sure if that credit would cause some legal issues with them or warp when we release this. :rtfm:  maybe 'replicated by ios / digit from patches supplied by autechre' or something like that.

    there definitely should be a shoutout to watmm on there somewhere also. i'm not sure how to word it. just to be clear that ios & i are members of watmm & that this whole thing was organized here on the forum.

    might be funny to put pictures of our avatars somewhere really small in the corner of each of the squares. ?

  4. how we've been working on this is IOS does the mix and then sends it to me and i give him detailed feedback on it. IOS is currently working on the latest revision of the mix, but he also has a lot of school obligations right now so the process got slowed down a little bit. it is pretty close to being done, however. the most recent mix was sounding really good!

  5. ios and i have been working on the mix and we're currently on revision #6. things have been getting better but all along the way something has still seemed off, like there was something missing. after a while we finally figured out what it is: at around 26:10 in the bootleg recording you can hear someone in the audience say "this doesn't sound like autechre but... there's 2 guys on the stage." we realized that the reconstruction we are working on just would not be complete without this line included as it has become such an essential part of the show for us.

    we are currently working on identifying & locating this audience member so we can get him to re-record his line in high quality, isolated from the rest of the crowd noise. as you can imagine, this is a bit difficult as this concert happened 12 years ago. we have placed flyers around the original concert venue in Los Angeles as well as spoken to the venue management & local ticket selling agencies trying to identify everyone who was at the concert that night. this is a time consuming process but please be patient and hopefully we will have some good results within the next 3-4 months.

    @digit @IOS you should consider patreon. srsly. would gladly show some appreciation for your efforts with cold hard cash. of course ae would have to be ok with it.

    to be honest it never once occured to me to ask for money for this. it was super generous of ae to make their tour patches available for download. what an incredibile gift that was! it just wouldn't feel right to me to ask money for something that was made from this gift that was given for free. a ton of work did go into this but as far as i'm concerned this one is by the fans, for the fans!

  7. just messaged the WeTransfer link to IOS.

    I just sent it to him because this is currently in the form of a Reaper project and it still needs to be eq'd / mixed / compressed and i know IOS is going to take care of that. right now there is some fluctuation in the levels of certain parts relative to other parts and the whole thing sounds a bit flat compared to the bootleg as it is has no compression or limiting of any kind on it currently. once it gets mixed & mastered it will be ready to go.
