Yeah Actress is someone I'll make sure to see. Jon Hopkins as well.

Also, if anyone else is into Djrum, he's playing an all night set at The Pickle Factory until the morning before Field Day. I like him loads more than anyone else in the Field Day lineup so I'm excited for that.

ooh good to know - might check it...

  4. i was guessing wrt the email - but one-per-ticket makes sense... lets hope no limits IF an exclusive

(im guessing no give-away this year... 2017 FD album was plenty and they tend to not repeat thiese things? Its healthy to spread the 7\ love)

Bit weird to just not release a proper track if you want to raise money but ok.

yeh in the middle of new aphex hype and now autehcre '22... this titbit seems just rediculous and not-well-thought out. A 40 sec old track with some nonsense vocal? I totally dig Buxton but.... big nope from me

  6. Defs be there early for the merch - and bring your disguises/spare email 😛

Yeh id go see Actress I think. Moderat were very disappointing before aphex last time but mu-ziq was amazing at the bandstand

  7. Yeh was gonna mention the Syro "M" tracks not coming to proper release for years (9 at most) after being played - Manchester, Metz, Minehead

Lets hope there's less time BUT... when those tracks did finally appear, after years of being lauded ... what a time to be alive

  8. So any thoughts on the first 6 sets as a whole? Heres mine after a few listens each

Of course i love them all but to me Sonar is the most insane/trippiest

    • Syd gets  a special mention for being the first and has the gorgeous new releases - which sound so good in a live setting
    • Best Kept/Garden - solid and stabel sets
    • Sonar - LET GET nuts
    • Italy - Keeps the insanity
    • Dour - winds it down a little  but still quality - nice to see paradox back

A great selection of old/new released tracks, unreleased stuff, not sure he has much live-noodles but I maybe wrong?

General great pacing and spaces to breath before the madness. He's not one for obvious drops but more "moments" of escalation.

Loved all the openings  - he's a master of this - usually noise/beatless avanstgardness

Not sure he had many location-specific tracks/local artists in the selects - let me know if he did

Endings crazy as always but Dour was the least crazy

special mention for Mount St Micheal!

I remember a stage dancer at the Olympia Aphex Twin gig. I believe (but may be wrong) it was Paul Nicholson who danced on stage for a lot of Aphex Twin gigs during the 90s and also designed the Aphex Twin "A-" logo.

I think i asked him before as we were in touch and he wasn't sure - he did it a lot!
