Syro for me.. less harsh n tinny than drukQs - as an album
and "Go Plastic" for me in THE "drill n base" king from that era

Sill watching the Last of Us..e6 was the last one. still feels like an offshoot of the Walking Dead in terms of the drama. The "comedy" feels very forced too
I missed the grimness of Last Summer so much i went and watched the film Threads(1988)... grimness restored!

because all shows so far are in Europe? Doubt it - last tour was "the americas" but It would be excellent

Been revisiting this recently and loving it. Classic squarespueher where.. at first it seemed a little bombastic/dayglo.... but the subtle grooves, little fillers, and with this track, emotional punch via the vocals/melody.. really come through on repeat listens. A fantastic track

Roel Funcken did a pretty damn good Plaid mix, it’s 3 hours long and runs through a wide spectrum of their sounds. Hope you become a bigger fan!

looked like a complete waste of time to me right from the off. I didn't want to say anything too pointed earlier but I can't see how it's any different from the ooh chaotic madness generic zombie shite that's been plaguing us since 28 Weeks Later (which was arguably the peak of that form, sixteen years ago, and was itself nothing but a poor-to-ok sequel). there's one scene in that show where they just hand everyone guns and it goes exactly as you would expect but even sillier.
if you're watching a "serious" show and it occurs to you it needs yakety sax played on top, that means it's Not Good.
Man i got to disagree - I think it one of the best shows ever made - serious. Nothing is as intense. You're on edge all the time and there is zero build-up to the crazy shit that happens. Very little filler dialog and the acting/action is so good.
Its like "go plastic" vs some generic drum n bass album!

Well the "Last of Us" e4 slipped right into The Walking Dead territory in nearly every way.. YAWN
Finished s1 of Black Summer re-watch and loved it - again.. i think its the lack of music and main-character-deaths with no build up. Just TENSE all the way. Z-nation seemed a bit too "funny/"kooky to me but may give it another go
White Lotus 1/2 were really great.. the prostitutes were my favourite characters - great acting/storyline
Search Party - wins prize for biggest let down after season 1.. which was SOOO good.. then it turned to outright farce

Probably covered loads but Everything Everywhere All the Time - 11 Oscar noms??????? Its excruciatingly bad... terrible fight scenes, characters you don't care about, laboured exposition, in-world-ruies made up on-the-fly it seems. I had to turn off after an hour.

The Last of Us <<<<<<< Black Summer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Walking Dead
Re-watching B.S. now after TLOU ep3 as it felt like schmaltzy filler which is how TWD went about 25 series ago. the tension throughout B.S is unreal!

Was stressful buying tickets for this ánd Dekmantel on the same day (within the same hour both went on sale) while having to work. Then finding out Field Day doesn't do PayPal. Thanks to a lifesaver watmmer I still got tickets so I'll see you there again hopefully!
Can't be arsed about the line-up except maybe Jayda G but last time Aphex played Field Day we just sat on a park bench with the chatmm crew all day (although we did see Moodymann, Silver Apples, a bit of Nina Kraviz and Aphex of course) which was great so hope to repeat that again.Oh nice one. Looking forward to Actress this time myself. did you catch MuZiq last time at the bandstand - twas really great!

12 years later, I’m curious if these are still my top 10. I think a few of them like Windowlicker, Girl/Boy, and Quoth are definitely in there more because of the memories I have when I first heard them. Not sure what would take their place if I was to switch them out. Those memories are pretty strong.
If I had to pick 3… maybe :s8v1

If anyone hasn't seen phudoshin's post from the bottom of page 1 go and look at it now. His initial reaction to news of the gig is to speculate whether the wife and kids will be performing.
What. The. Fuck.
My initial reaction was "YAY aphex twin's back". Later i was thinking of how his live shows have progressed/morphed over the years and his missus has played with/supported in recent years and then i speculated that maybe his kids would this time.
What-is-the-problem?
