  1. Yeah, they've been going through 9 albums of doing their own thing pretty much. They've decided they're going to do a dubstep album all of a sudden. Fuck me, if they ever did a pure dubstep album I'd kill myself, resurrect, then kill myself again. While I think hearing Autechre's take on the dubstep genre would be interesting, it's true that it would be a bit of a disappointment for an official album. My interpretation of the album title, after seeing these posts because I hadn't tried to interpret it at all until now, is that they're squashing the dubstep trend. Saying, "fuck this shit, this is the next level." They're stepping over the trend.
  2. This was very good news to receive in my inbox this morning. Going to pre-order the CD. I thought I already had a Bleep account, but I can't log in no matter what I try. Guess I'll wait till I get home and look for my login info. It would be nice to get the MP3s in advance, but that defeats the purpose of a release date. Especially these days. I see the point about a leak, though. It would suck for it to leak and then we pre-orderers don't have our files yet. Though I guess I'm used to that shit...damn leakers and leaches.
  3. Yeah, that's dumb. "Oh you like to explore the outdoors...your a nerd haha!1!!"
  4. Here's as close as I got to the top of Mt. Rainier last September: Here's a panorama I made: panorama
  5. whats the story with this? i'm mighty curious Late 60s and 70s LA band playing psych/pop rock with hints of progressive rock. This is the album they're best known for but I prefer their self-titled debut and their second, The Family That Plays Together. And I take this back about the Black Dog album. The tracks I found great are pretty evenly spread throughout the album.
  6. Spirit - Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus
  7. I think the second half is when I was most impressed. Need to keep playing it to get a full handle on it.
  8. I've gotten into hiking (as we call it here) since moving to the pacific northwest. As said, it is good clean fun! It's nice getting to the top of a ridge, ledge, mountain, whatever, and having such an awesome panoramic view of the world around you. Nothing like it, really. What's nice about the whole experience too is that you leave all your problems behind. You're so focused on what you're doing, enjoying the scenery, conversing with whoever you're hiking with, etc. it's just a very liberating experience. Yesterday I went snowshoeing. It was fun too, but was mostly amongst trees and didn't enjoy any views really. The drive there was nice and more scenic though.
  9. My favorite. I've never heard the Brace Yourself EP though, I'll get on that. NP: The Black Dog - Radio Scarecrow This is quite fabulous at times most of the time. This is only my second time playing it, and it's just damn good. I've only heard Spanners and Silenced aside from this one, and this one just takes the cake for me.
  10. The single has not excited me in the least. Doesn't mean I won't check out the album though, it just won't be high on my list of priorities.
  11. Thanks, GrandPop! (How appropriate, I was going to say "thanks, dad!" then I noticed your user name)
  12. Is this a new song? Not sure I like the indie-inspired singing. Then again I also like their debut more than the last one, but I don't think even that one had any singing. El-P - Fantastic Damage
  13. Hell no, never did. Or any other of his songs.
  14. The Legendary Pink Dots - From Here You'll Watch the World Go By
  15. That is good stuff man. Nostalgia is the best thing ever.
  16. I liked the Black Eyed Peas first two albums. i saw them in concert in those days (fergieless) and they put on a great show. awesome dancing! that was like 1999. back then their vibe was almost like that of a tribe called quest... post fergie i like some songs! i like how she pissed her pants on stage and continued to do her thang! Yeah they definitely had a "conscious hip-hop" sound, they were well respected. I haven't liked anything since Fergie (did they do any crap after those 2 albums, but before Fergie?). Some beats are ok but overall it's garbage.
  17. I was huge into 311 around 94. I liked the Black Eyed Peas first two albums. I like Justin Timberlake's Rock Your Body (that's it though).
  18. What other Cristian Vogel have you heard? I have that and Rescate 137, but don't like Station 55 as much.
