Pretty much how it goes, there are some players you just end up feeling like you have to have. I ditched RVP last week though. Consistent as he is, I decided I could invest better elsewhere. This will sound ridiculous, but he doesn't score enough goals. I feel like you have to make him captain to justify his expense - now that he's gone I can make Mata or Bale captain, whose goals are worth more than RVP's.
Currently 2nd (Gelgameks FC).
yeah I was very close to ditching RVP but couldn't bring myself to do it.

yep I'm around, 5th place currently. Looks like most teams have reverted to a core set of common players and I've found it hard to spot any differentials.

Ffs. This thread...

@grthdvd is the singer from Los Campesinos and he took advantage of having a verified twitter account to change his bio to Martin Samuel (a football journalist) and has been making up transfer rumours. His one about Pepe Reina moving from Liverpool to Arsenal has gone viral and is being reported widely!
Fucking superb trolling!

a pet hate of mine is when you get a carbonara in ireland and it has cream in it. carbonara DOES NOT HAVE CREAM IN IT, yet everywhere here seems to put it in.
yeah it seems weird that people do that when it just doesn't need it and it isn't in any way traditional.
The one thing I've noticed is how important fresh eggs are, and I'm talking from a farm or butchers or somewhere. They're probably a good 4/5 days fresher than the supermarket and it makes such a difference. Use them to make scrambled egg and it pretty much glows in the dark it's so orange!

My go-to recipe when I want something simple is Anthony Bourdain's carbonara from when he went to Rome.
Dead easy and really authentic.
For 2:
- Stick some spaghetti in a pan and boil
- Heat up a large frying pan and add some pancetta or chopped up smoky bacon
- When the meat is cooked put to one side
- Mix 50g parmesan and 50g pecorino romano together. Mix in an egg (as fresh as possible) and lots of pepper
- Drain the spaghetti and put in the frying pan (off the heat). mix in the cheesy-egg mixture and the meat and a little bit of pasta water.
If you want to use up some stuff we've had it with mushrooms, peas, courgettes etc. Really versatile and great comfort food.

i wouldn't be surprised if warp pulled the samples tomorrow (happens a lot on amazon with big albums).
but yeah, these 30sec snippets sound amazing.
Norman aren't a 'big' company who automatically add sound clips. Warp/AE will have wanted Norman to do this.

surprised Norman got a head start on this, i wonder if Warp (like i do) has more respect for them as an institution and music store than Boomkat and Juno. Good on Warp if that's the case, Norman deserves it.
I'm glad they got a headstart, Norman's represent everything that's good and wholesome about the UK indie music scene. A quality supplier of great tunes. And sometime they send you sweets.
Fucking great samples, so hyped for this. No way is jetavee C 'banal'.

Maybe after spending 3 years putting together a huge double album they fancy, like, some time off?
I'd love them to tour, but their sets are like putting together even more fresh music.

Had a pint of Dominion Hop Mountain today in the Sheffield Tap. They always have a good American craft on tap, and this was blinding. Nearly 6 for a pint though

Can't believe that Xisco is still there, and one of the top earners.
