  1. That skinny frame

    That tired act

She's uninteresting wearing all that black

Still she could be such a little girl sometimes

    Whining and kicking

    Throwing herself from moving vehicles

    Running and running

Her raven breast empty and cold

Pushing my face up against the door

It's another night here in something city

It's another night with her going somewhere shitty

Into the cold city night she goes running and running

I wanna tell her "Little girl you run too far in the dark and you get yourself lost"

Then like a banshee she screams

    And I say god damn

You may ask "She can't really be that stupid can she?"

  2. A friend of mine has really been turning me on to Common and Mos Def lately, I had always appreciated both to some degree and had a couple Mos Def albums, but after sitting and analyzing certain songs by both, I've come to appreciate them to another degree. Both are very intelligent rappers with A LOT to say.

    This song gets deep

  3. I can't make up my mind about Death Grips, on one hand I like the raw lo-fi aggression of the beats and "Guillotine" gets stuck in my head from time to time, on the other lyrically it doesn't seem to be saying much or going anywhere... which ends up making it a lot of just noise to be noisy which gets a bit tiresome. Maybe I'll have to sit and give the album a full listen through and I'll realize something I'm not hearing upon just watching the vids

  4. "People pulling knives out of their backs,

and then slip in the cracks, cause the

streets are covered in their bleeding

If you think life is Disney you're dreaming

Those birds aren't singing they're screaming

And those aren't just clouds in the sky, no

Those are deathships on a joyride

And they're on our side baby, on our side" - Building Better Bombs, "Deathships"

  5. I was never really following this movie through it's production stages but I saw the preview of this tonight before The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (which was damn good IMO), it looks pretty epic. I like the fact that it seems to stand apart from the Alien universe. I'm willing to give this one a chance. and yeah the first two Aliens movie's are definitely the best.

  6. I used to collect Spawn comics, but I've fallen WAY behind in the series, and the ridiculous price to obtain back issues from 100-120 makes it kind of a pain in the ass to catch up.

Greg Capullo's The Creech mini-series is pretty awesome, I also have the "Big Fat Kill" story arch from Sin City, and I love that one, hope to eventually get the whole collection

Watchmen was a great read, I've been meaning to purchase From Hell

I've been meaning to check out Invincible and Haunt as well

The Walking Dead has always interested me, and I like the show, but I've never been able to get myself to start reading the comic.

For an Xmas present to myself I think I'm gonna buy Batman: Year One, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Killing Joke ... I've been meaning to get more into Batman for a while

  7. I've always seen Hecq's name around but never really listened to any of his albums, I have seen some of the sound design stuff he's done... pretty cool. I suppose it's about time I give his albums a listen.

  8. Funny this thread should come up... Me and my roomate have recently found a way to perfectly sync the LotR: Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack with Titanic... Put the movie on mute and it makes it darker and somewhat operatic and SUPER epic... there's a certain track you have to go to to once the movie stops doing the pseudo-documentary thing at the begining, it syncs down to little subtle details even (cymbal crashes in the score at thrown punches and perfect transition timings). I mean like the scores to the movie could have been switched. I'll have to talk to him to remember exactly which track into the soundtrack you have to start on, but seriously it works amazingly well.
