yeah, one of the better books i've read in a while. been checking out short stories by Gary Lutz, "Stories in the Worst Way" -- he's a fuckin nut.. ridiculously-constructed sentences, weird, "pretentious" wordage, and funny ideas. It's ok

has anybody read Stoner by John Williams? it's good, quality fiction about alienation etc.
-
it's some type of digital fountain

thanks, we were all wondering about that.
This thread is about opinions on elseq regardless your personal particular interests. Everybody have posted their opinions and feelings on the release and I am no exception and there is no reason I should be. Should you need more explanation of how public forums work, feel free to ask me. You are welcome.
opinions, thoughts, and feelings are all valid (even useful) - it's just that when people post inane (arguably useless) information, like, "I'm gonna purchase this, or I'm gonna do that" -- information that doesn't really have any bearing outside of the internal thought process... there's no real use for it. "Gimme something I can use, etc."
edit: nevermind, it's all food

beating a dead horse, but i'll often pick up on things in music that I otherwise am not receptive to (listening intently), while engaged in other activities. Driving is a good example, as it can be very relaxing -- it calms the mind (I don't have a car, but used to drive a lot)
nowadays, I cherish opportunities to drive around and listen to music, as it's one of my favorite ways to engage with it.. the act of driving is a release, a sort of mild catharsis (not in stressful situations, obv.), and music is the perfect compliment to it. finally warming up to elyc6 0nset... it's a wonderful thing

How does the tape cassette sound compared to the CD/vinyl?
so are y'all just putting the cassette up for sale on Discogs?
-
The theme song is a straight-up ripoff of Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd. It's watchable, but it feels like a total pastiche. There are some genuinely creepy scenes, like Barb in the pool

-the "skipping" bits in 13x0 step will never stop feeling out of place and are a thorn in the side of an otherwise great track
What skipping bits?
the track cuts out briefly at around forty seconds in. and then again at about fifty-three seconds, but it's less 'blemished' sounding the second time.
Can't WAIT for Fantano's take on elseq.. I wonder what he thinks of elyc6_0nset!!!

surprised nobody has reviewed this yet on Amazon. Syro had like twenty reviews within the first 48 hours of its release

it's FUN and it feels GOOD... did you not get your fill of elyc6 onset??

I received my cassette from Bull Moose today! It's beautiful <3
how does it sound?
CIRKLON3 sounds so lively within the context/sequence of the other tracks, as if it's taken on a new life.

after 5-10 listens to the Cheetah ep, you might be glad that it exists.

The pound is at a 30 year low but I don't need anymore physical media and trinkets. Maybe I'll play some George Soros games come Friday with digital.
durR....... i'm an idiot
cheetahT2 is a dope track

gah, i nearly pulled the trigger. waited 20 minutes with the cassette in my 'crate'/checkout. then i saw it'd be upwards of $20, cancelled, and then it was gone.
a google search for the conversion rate (Euro to USD) showed $16.49, though Boomkat's final estimate was like $19.65 (approx.) -- how is it that their estimate is $3 more than the Google result?
-
does the cassette feature all seven tracks, or is that just the CD?

CHEETAHT7b is superbly beautiful in my opinion. It gives me a similar feeling to some of the funkier old Boards of Canada tunes.
it's sounding lush as hell... i must've barely listened to the SC version because i don't recall all of these little details. i was feeling lukewarm on the Cheetah ep (laCK of 'freshness' or whatever), but the two tracks revealed in the last day are stoking some anticipation. sounding like some proper chill-ass AFX, delightful

finally warming up to this track... it seemed way rigid and too concise at first, but then it starts to splinter and fray like some gleaming, spidery coil -- badass flexing and shedding/chipping off harmonic shards, a burred cable or metallic weave - loosening and contracting. or some bullshit steampunk metal sculpture, or clock. it also seems like a track that might appeal to the casual/unconditioned listeners looking for more straight/identifiable, 'easy' autechre
