Anyone bought one of those theremin kits from eBay?

Thinking it might be a fun little toy to play around with using effects pedals etc, are they good quality, are they easy to build?

i have a friend of a friend who builds these for fun, im acquiring one off him when i get my drum machine and clavinova

 

they are fun as, trust me, and i imagine the kits are pretty easy cos you can build them from scratch with a bit of electrnoics skilzz

I started building one about four years ago, and then moved house and lost a few of the parts.. I really should get around to buying another kit, or maybe finishing that super-aliased chiptune synth I started building, heh.
