will a succour reissue ever happen ?

seefeels a great band, i love all their releases - even ch-vox which seems to get a bit of hate. shoegaze and ambienttechno yea,but also a bit of dub. their sound works so well

Man, one of my finest crate digging moments was finding the 2xLP version of Quique in a punk record store for something like $8. Score!! The mastering isn't that great, unfortunately, but it's not terrible - good enough to mix with, as long as the other record is mixed pretty low. Did the reissue get a vinyl release? If it's cut louder than the original I might have to invest in that..

I was introduced to this record in 95 or 96 by a weird guy who lived on my floor at the dorm... he told me that I had to buy it from him (coincidentally, also for $8) and just to take his word that I needed to own it. I took him up on it and was not disappointed. :D

This guy was interesting.. he had more CDs than anyone I knew, mostly experimental electronic & techno. The rumour among my friends was that he had a key from a record store that would unlock the old heavy plastic "coffins" they used to encase CDs in. He studied computer programming and electronic composition, then took a dramatic turn sometime in 97; he started studying the Qu'ran, grew his beard out & wore a turban and moved to Syria.

succour is ok. i really like polyfusia, which collects their eps. there's some great tracks on there (moodswing, the second track i linked, is from that album).

i meant CH-VOX was bad, but Polyfusia - good stuff. never heard Succour. had Polyfusia way back when i started buying this stuff and lost it somewhere or loaned it to someone.

bought it again later.
