I was watching the rampage jackson Vs forrest griffin fight and after seeing the judges decision, it is pretty clear that ufc is fixed or at least some of the matches are fixed.

if you have at least a couple of years of martial arts experience you cannot say this is a real fight. sorry to say Ufc is the same fake shit as wwf.

i mean fu&* you can even look at the fighters faces before the judges decisions and understand something is going on.

rampage had just fired his trainer i think for stealing money, he also went a bit crazy in the days following the fight. i was really disappointed in rampage's performance, he's such a fun personality i always want him to do well. i think he was just in a bad way mentally, that's all

i can't play the video for a refresher, but i just remember watching the PPV and thinking Rampage was completely off his game and that they both sucked. Rampage definitely didn't deserve to win with his performance

i will agree that i've seen some very shady judges decisions in the UFC and even Dream. i don't think this is a good example though.

i suggest you watch it again sometimes without the commentator's subjective ''observations''

i guess its hard for some to acknowledge it at first glance

I don't really think it's fixed. That said, while I enjoy mixed martial arts I'm pretty pissed that UFC media culture is such a blatant replication of professional wrestling.

and it wasn't always that way.... or at least so blatant. I don't care for either though so whatever, I'm just unmotivated to finish any of my current projects.

anyways to say it was fixed is somehow an understatement, it may be that promoters are really smart and know who should fight against who ...

My analysis of Jackson vs Griffin ( watch the fight here: http://mmavideolinks.to/fighter-videos/62/2415-forrest-griffin-vs-quinton-rampage-jackson.html )

Round 1: Jackson 10 Griffin 9 (due to griffin being caught and knocked down, otherwise very even round)

Round 2: Jackson 9 Griffin 10 (Early leg kick buckled jackson, forrest completely dominated on the ground for 4 minutes)

Round 3: Jackson 10 Griffin 9 (jackson landed more strikes, nothing huge happened in this round)

Round 4: Jackson 9 Griffin 10 (griffin pulled guard which counts as control, some people would think jackson took him down but griffin is the one who initiated the take down, griffin had a submission attempt, griffin controlled jackson on the ground, griffin had another submission attempt, followed by an even exchange of trading strikes on the feet)

Round 5: Jackson 9 Griffin 10 (difficult round to score due to relatively even striking exchange, this one comes down to 'octagon control' as griffin maintained the center of the ring for the majority of the round)

my score: Jackson 47 Griffin 48. Round 2 could have been a 10-8 round for griffin and clearly thats how the judges scored it. Either way a close fight and to use this as 'evidence' that the UFC is staged is absolutely ridiculous. If you are going to make that argument I think the better choice would be bisping vs hammil which in my opinion was the only fight ive seen in the past two years (ive seen just about all of them in that time period) that had an obviously bad decision.

It was forrest griffin who dragged jackson to the ground so easily, he pulled guard which is a defensive control tactic.. he didnt end up on top but he took control and limited jackson's ability to deal damage... what are you even on about? Did you see the fight? do you know which one is which? do you have even a rudimentary understanding of jiu jitsu or wrestling? if not then you have no basis of making your statements, thats like someone claiming golf is rigged because tiger woods got a lower score but somehow still won

I'd take you up on your bet if the people you're referring to had an understanding of mixed martial arts, doesnt matter who the commentators are, it was a very close fight and by all accounts anyone who knows whats going on and why realizes that griffin was in control of that fight from rounds 2-5.

watch it again my friend and look for the part where jackson lifts forrest up when he's on the ground, also when jackson lifts forrest when jackson is standing up, the fight is a controlled ping pong match dude. you gotta be bordderline retarded not to understant their confused faces at the ent of the fight

some fights are NOT fixed, some ARE.

a ''fixed'' one is a fight where the 2 opponents are chosen in such a way that it could be difficult to see that one has the advantage.

'lol'

The fight that's always baffled me was the Bisping v Hamill where Bispo got the decision. I've always liked the guy, but wtf.

However, to more pressing issues.

Have fun 'proving' yourself in another promotion that'll be dead in 9 months.

fedor is the greatest martial artist of all time

i doubt he would want to be locked down and underpaid just to dispatch Brock "the Novelty" Lesnar in 60 seconds

fedor is the greatest martial artist of all time

i doubt he would want to be locked down and underpaid just to dispatch Brock "the Novelty" Lesnar in 60 seconds

* A six-fight $30 million dollar contract, making him, by far, the highest paid MMA fighter in history

* An immediate title shot against Brock Lesnar

* A cut of the Lesnar/Emelianenko PPV on top of the already exorbitant purse

* Authorization to wear as many M-1 Global logo's as Fedor wished

* Authorization for Fedor to compete in Combat Sambo tournament

Yeah, very underpaid. Very very underpaid.

I can see that with regards to his fights in Pride, he tore the place up with all the legit dudes; Mark Coleman, Cro-Cop, Nogueira, Kevin Randleman etc. But when can you honestly say he last had a real fight? 2005/06? Look at anyone he's beat after that time, it's really not that impressive. KOing Arlovski? Sylvia? Come on. Barnett would have been a real test but that's now completely out of the water.

I'm glad Lesnar is proving his critics wrong.

fair enough, i hadn't seen the $$ details of the recent talks, but has he actually turned this down or was he unable legally to accept? i was under the impression that he was bound to M1 Global by contract and had 3? fights remaining- and that M1 Global would only allow him to fight these where they could be Co-promoters of the fights, which Zuffa(?) will not allow

you're right he hasn't had the opportunity to fight anyone truly great lately, just former UFC heavyweight champs really. Barnett would have been a legendary fight, too bad he fucked it up. since he can't accept any offer UFC throw at him if they won't agree to M-1's demands, then what choice does he have? well, through this Strikeforce deal he will probably get to fight one of the scariest heavyweights at the moment, Alistair Overeem. (assuming he doesn't get kicked in the groin 3 or 4 times, it should be amazing) and i guess whoever the hell else they can get in there for the other 2 fights. Then it should be a-ok for UFC, whoever holds their heavyweight title (i hope)

the difference between the 2 ?

WWF : was something that almost every male child grew up on to some extent, it was never really an issue whether it was 'real' or not, i didn't give a shit as a kid i just found it really entertaining. Especially the supernatural shit they used to pull like Undertaker VS undertaker

UFC: Was something that as a kid the only way you heard about it was brief flashes of commercials of disturbing $50 a pop pay-per-view events where peoples faces were covered in real blood inside a Gladiator TV show looking foam rubber covered cage. The only way as a kid you may have seen one of these is if your neighborhood friend's dad was the type who had a car sitting on his drive way totally gutted out with a roll cage installed for future demolition derby's who couldn't afford to mow his lawn but could afford the $50 for the Pay per view match.

Could have accepted it all he wanted, but the only issue like said was the co-promotion, of which Fedor has a holding interest in. It's just shameful really to the fans he's just gonna lob around against lower tier fights and not really show much. Dana will be laughing in 9 months.

Fuck knows about Overeem, did you not hear about that thing where he just took out six security guards at some bar? LOL.
