Explanation (pretension):

A psychedelic noise hip hop electronic techno trance glitch ambient pop extended minimal "composition" (recording / album) created over a long span of time meant to be focused on intently in order to cause shifts in perception and increased consciousness; a mindfuck, so to speak, at times, and a creation that may help the inebriated individual achieve some sort of knockoff of nirvana and serenity. Enjoy, for free. Limited pressings will be made within the next few months, and I will post information regarding this when I get the label started.

barely anybody really browses "knob creators" etc, unless they're posting their own music. at least that's how i am. no time. if we have a collection of finished works put in this thread, it gives us a better idea of what the official releases and music of our members is all about. plus it's more fun to listen to an "album" (turn off the lights, smoke bowl, start album, turn off monitor). also this will give me an idea of things i might want on my label, possibly, though i really hope nobody asks me if the President of Jokebox Records will allow them to be included in the roster of famous high profile electronic musical geniuses.

Not so much a song I did (not at all really), as a mix I did in Traktor when I was bored. I was pleased with the turn-out, overall.

OK so, Altimeter Consistency Readouts is really, really enjoyable. I'm very high right now and I feel absolutely no desire to stop listening to this mix (to listen to something else). This is because it's consistently interesting and entertaining, bombastic, and masterfully blended. It sounds just like one long track.

I have a few questions regarding DJing as I haven't begun, for those who do it. This is very serious because I really, really want to start doing it so that I can begin building a name for myself. Any help will be greatly appreciated, really!:

1. Where do you live?

2. How did you start DJing?

3. What/where exactly do you DJ (what events)?

4. How would you describe the art of DJing as you do it? (skip this if it's stupid, but I'm curious to what extent you mess with what you're mixing together)

4A. (I see the art of DJing as being somewhat about leading peoples' minds into the music, getting lost in it psychologically, but I also see it equally if not more being about enhancing people's moods, taking them on a subliminal emotional journey - whether or not they're aware that they're being taken on it, and just flat out starting the party. The art in my case would be that of making people who initially weren't interested in listening to the music become just a little bit taken aback by some of the things they hear while at the same time keeping the party going).

5. What equipment/tools do you use?

6. How would you suggest I take my first step (what should I do, now, in your opinion)?

i'd recommend posting in the thread in ekt or suggest moving that thread to this forum, where there is indeed, more traffic, but not pinning it. There's nothing wrong in my mind with starting a thread for your own work in addition, but it seems counterproductive to make the same thread that's in ekt instead of posting in that one, or asking to have it moved :)

I just stick random pictures on things I do. More often than not, the picture has some sort of meaning to me.

I'm quite flattered considering it's only the second one I've ever done. I named the album that (what you italicized) because I liked how it looked and sounded, hah. Thanks, dude. I think I'm going to try something else with mixing pretty soon too. If I ever get around to it, I'll post it.
