the artist made the song so the artist should come first

it's more logical

i think that's what Smettingham Rutherford IV is saying too

We need to get together and decide what's the best shit to use and stick to it. I'm particularly fond of Americas use of Z's in the UK we mostly use S where you use Z.

the one use of z that comes to mind that i approve of is in synthesizer... z just looks more awesome to me in that case for some reason

i know this sounds like a joke but i think it's because Z was added to the alphabet later.

edit. why it's not in more English words, that is

i do it the john peel way:

"that was my bloody valentine with you made me realise, on creation records"

i.e.

artist - song (label)

no, no , no

the label is just barely secondary information needed to locate or discern anything

artist-album-song title

that is the most logical way. you are all idiots. i hate myself.

I can't argue with that. I just feel the - makes a clearer separation between artist and song than using 'by', unless it's part of a sentence, then it does make more sense to say the song name first. I still prefer something like "Samantha Fox's I Wanna Have Some Fun" though.
