Best Noise Cancelling Headphones?

Guest SRMG

Recommended Posts

Hi I need a set of noise cancelling headphones, I travel a lot and have a bunch of long haul coming up where I need to chill with some tunes.

Do you have any? can you recommend any makes?

I've been looking at Bose, Senheiser, Sony etc

No in ear headphones as they hurt after 3+ hours IMO. Money no object but obviously I want the best at the best price!

Thanks in advance

I'd get a closed headset, I've only tried two different nosie cancelling headsets briefly (sony/bose), but they were both utter rubbish esp if you consider the price point.

I swear by the Bose Quiet Comfort over ear headphones. They are amazing. My girlfriend even bought herself a pair, she was so jealous of mine. Once you wear them on an airplane, you will be in love.

Denon AH-D5000 mahogany headphones

£600+ in terms of price I think

I drooled a bit then saw the price and stopped immediately... reserved for gods and the lucky rich.

Those Bose are £279 in the UK direct from Bose - rip off UK again!

Must say those Denon are pure porn..

I'm leaning towards the Bose but don't like how you have to have them switched on to listen to a source. Would have thought you'd be able to listen to music in noise cancelling mode and not.

Thx

I have the sennheiser pcx 450, the noise cancelling thing is pretty amazing. but they cost around $400 USD. i read some reviews a while back and apparently this model has the best noise cancelling thing ever.

the pcx 450 sound pretty good, they don't have to be turned on to listen to a source and have this nice button that allows voice to come trough so you don't have to take them off to hear something.

get some hardcore pilot headphones and slip some earphones inside.

lol yes

a few years ago i nicked some ear defenders that were left on the seat of a ride-on lawnmower that was left alone for about an hour in the gardens outside my house at the time. wear those over normal earphones, it's awesome
