Timing Isn't Everything

i know this comment is going to seem cliche but I'd bet that this sounds quite good whilst tripping. The off-timedness in spots is disorienting, but in a good way. The track as a whole could use another element to keep it interesting though methinks. That's just me tho.

or maybe just bring the acid line in earlier and u'd be set.

i think it needs a guitarist, myself. not five minutes ago i pitched the idea to a friend of mine who plays guitar sometimes

Ha ha, I was looking for some of your music after seeing the pictures of yr studio on the gearpr0n thread and yes this makes sense.

I absolutely love the texturedness of all the crazy shit going on the background, I never got bored, lots of intriguing sounds - didn't find it particularly disorienting at all. Good headphones music, but what I'd really like to hear is you playing more with the stereo field with all those mad noises spinning around mwah hah ha think of the havoc it could wreck. A bit like what happens about 1.20 with the stereo delay, but MORESO.

that dreamy synth coming in outta time, then the hats, then those alarms are brill. me likes. a bit messy perhaps, but i like the elements, and i dont say that much nowadays. :braindance:

didn't look at the time, and hearing this acid line at the end, though that it's beginning, got kind of excited, but it ended  8-10min version with longer acid line would be great

hi

i was jamming around for an hour or so, left it recording. one of my grooveboxes stopped cooperating syncwise, and rather than stop to fix it i just rolled with it as best i could. i had to occasionally nudge tempos around, and i've never been very good with that... somehow it winds up having a nice swing to it.

the track is just 3 minutes i liked. there is indeed more after it ends... if it were worth hearing, though, i would have left it there.

edit: i should add i am particularly happy with the way the ride cymbals, hats, and that percussive rhythmic synth mesh. clark's new year storm ride cymbals, drexciya's dr. blowfin rhythmic wacka-chicka, fatboy slim's retrox bass slide time

wat

edit: oh yeah i once experienced a similar desync phenomenon on a purely digital setup (some poor coding on my part as it turned out) and ended up shitting out the most hilarious out of sync acid ever. it's like 15 second clip and the tempo of everything is just all over the place.. maybe i'll dig it up.

eeddiitt: FOUND.
