Sound Module, Behringer Eurorack MX802 Mixer, Old Hi fi (hardly works),

I had one of those Hi fis. I bet the cd changer on it is broken?

Akai make surprisingly crap consumer electronics compared to the pro stuff.

Correctomondo the cd changer doesn't work. Hell that whole thing went bust years and years ago. The tape decks have just about had it too. I think one plays but doesn't rewind or forward though one can still record. Thats probably my fault as I should have put tape cleaners in it over the years. You can see below under the desk is my consumer electronics cheap as chips Goodmans record deck; thats obviously hooked into the amp on my hi fi - so it does have some uses. Actually its an Aiwa. Lol.

I remembber they advertised the hell out of those in the mid 90s.

Ever since, when I'm mixing a record, I always ask myself, "yeah, it sounds good in here, but how will it sound on a $300 Aiwa with Mega Ultra Bass Boost?"

Would post pictures, but I'm currently in the process of moving my studio into the city for a while. I'll hop back in here once I get everything set up.

Acoustic instruments:

  • Epiphone Les Paul, rebuilt and customized by my brother
  • Ovation Celebrity CS247
  • Oscar Schmidt classical guitar
  • Fender P-Bass, hacked up and rebuilt (removed frets, added standup strings)
  • Squire Stratocaster (wanna do something cool to this someday...)
  • Little toy zither
  • Old crappy Ludwig 5 piece drum set
  • Toca Djembe
  • African thumb piano
  • Two penny whistles

Electronics:

  • iBook G3 (getting waaaay to slow these days)
  • Alesis 8-channel MultiMix firewire mixer (best piece of kit I've bought in ages)
  • Korg Kaoss Pad 2
  • M-Audio Oxygen 8
  • Nord Modular
  • Sony MDR-V700 cans
  • Old reel-to-reel, inherited from my great grandfather (tons of old reels to sample from)
  • Old turntable inherited from my dad
  • Sure SM-57 microphone
  • Radioshack panoramic microphone
  • Various old keyboards, some in half-circuit-bent status (aka in shambles)

Other:

LOTS OF FUCKING CABLES

...I'm sure there's lots of stuff I forgot. The moving process should help me take proper inventory.

i wasn't making a dig at anyone, just normally in these threads i list every goddamn thing i have, when most of it is to make rock music with my band with and i don't use to make electronic music at all. and i get tired of typing all that stuff out. and i don't use my hardware sampler much anymore.

I have a place in my website that has pictures of my hardware. If you want an idea of what it looks like set up, just imagine it all wired together on a span of beige carpet with one of these lamps:

lighting the area.

They're here.
