I'm sorry Analogue Wings, I like you and didn't mean to ruin your day.

If you give me your adress maybe I could send you a hat.

S'OK, my 606 hats made me feel better.

Plus, I'm down with Mr Hard Trance

Cool, 606 hats rock.

Don't really like the cymbal though, but the closed hat is great.

Gotta love the Hat Trance.

the hihats and cymbals are samples but everything else is analogue

in modulations the guy from roland said it was digital sample based, didn't mention anything about just the hi hats and cymbals.

nah the 909 can really be referred to as analog. the digital hats even go through analog filters. i guess.

if i run my emu e4xt ultra through a big muff can i call that an analog synth too?

no i don't think so. do you consider the junos analog? they've DCOs ...

Signal path with no digital/analogue conversion = analogue synth.

The 909 is a hybrid, ok? Its snare, kick, clap and tom modules are all analogue synths.

okay it's a retarded debate but still - do you count synths with DCOs analogue or not?

Signal path with no digital/analogue conversion = analogue synth.

DCO = "Digitally CONTROLLED Oscillator" NOT "Digital Oscillator"

Although I would have to say I like hybrids a lot. Like Buchla's and such. I think if you have a hybrid its worth mentioning.

I like Ensoniq SQ-80s
