Finally! In mid-October, we'll be getting a full length album from this awesome Shanghai producer! She's already put out an incredible EP a few years ago with Vanishing Cinema and more recently did some collaborative work with the great Slikback as part of a highly recommended miniseries highlighting the Hakuna Kulala and SVBKVLT labels, as well as Houndstooth's recent Alterity compilation, and a mix for Boiler Room's HARD DANCE series. She has also appeared on mixes by artists ranging from Bergsonist to Kode9 to TSVI and has been remixed by M.E.S.H. and Tzusing.

  1. Encrust
  2. Accretion
  3. Knots
  4. Baily's Beads
  5. Barnacles
  6. Doppleganger
  7. Infiltration
  8. Shatter
  9. Get Out From Under
  10. Erosion

The album page has this little blurb:

"Holes are ontologically parasitic - they are always within something else and cannot exist in isolation. Holes accompany us throughout our lives, dilative and devoured, fillable but indispensable. On one hand, they are the driven force for evolution, on the other hand, holes are also the layer of scab that signals growth. Without tearing, cutting and gluing, we cannot create or eliminate a hole. Topologists use the number of holes to distinguish geometric objects. In the same method, in the closed circuit of Encrust and Erosion, we became idiographic individuals.

In her new album, Hyph11E guides the light to travel within and through the hole, and it becomes Aperture."

Well, this was excellent.

And you said it, andrd. SVBKVLT kill it. Hyph11e and 33EMYBW are for my tastes far and away the best artists of the whole so called "deconstructed club" movement. Their music may be experimental but it certainly is also very danceable and not necessarily too hard to fit into a DJ set
