  1. Haha, cool - that explains why there's copyright credits for the "Tetris song" on the title screen! That being said, TE is probably one of the best games i've played this year - the music is sooo good, the gameplay modes are varied and interesting... Now, if I can just clear stage 27's 90 line commitment (got to 85 - fuuuuu)
  2. ? 500.00 per slice limited to one slice In other pizza news, supposedly this place in Tokyo has the best pizza - can @jasondonervan or other WATMM Tokyoites confirm/deny this? https://www.japantimes.co.jp/life/2017/06/17/food/pizza-studio-tamaki-challenger-title-tokyos-best-pie/
  3. I forgot that Tetris Effect came out yesterday and instead after dinner I watched the November sumo preliminaries
  4. I want to see Richard with a setup like this at his next live show
  5. :D Honestly Wiley's Castle really is relatively easy this time around, especially Wiley himself... privided you know the proper counter picks ;). Good luck!! Honestly only a few stages have been overly difficult (I'm looking at you Inferno Man with your walls of fire (which Tundra Man's weapon is handy in dealing with), and I'm looking for my inevitable reunion with the Yellow Devil.
  6. Finally got to Wiley's Gear Castle in Megaman 11... now the fun begins
  7. If they were in the path of the sun, they are planets but you'd have to know the arc of the sun in your neck of the woods and this time of year. I have no idea if this is accurate but someone said it on Reddit and I'm feeling weird synchronicity right now. We need Neil DeGrassi High Mike Tyson stat. Just get a constellation/star map app on your phone and point it at the sky - it will tell you what's what. Easy
  8. I don't want to live on this planet anymore
  9. You can zoom in on the playfield with the left analogue stick, and rotate it with the right. Really helps if you're playing in non-VR. Ah, thanks - I did find the 'challenge' modes or whatever they're called - same stages, but very challenging, especially that 'random' effects mode... does my head in when the screen flips upside down and I've got a high stack to contend with. I also found where in the options you can change the default view of the playfield to bring it in closer. The soundtrack is very, very good on this - supposedly you get the OST for free if you preorder...
  10. Geez, 8 kids? How many siblings do you have?
  11. The Tetris Effect demo is... short? Just three stages that if you've played Tetris before, can get through in about 15 minutes. Still want the full game because the visuals and sounds are amazing. My only complaint is the playfield is very small (which I get to show off the visuals around the playfield).
  12. Smash Ultimate for Switch is getting more and more amazing - so much stuff they're adding. Should be a great game.
  13. What's deliciously ironic is he was/is married to a Chinese or Taiwanese person, had a child(ren) with them, etc. Can't understand how you can be racist in that scenario...
  14. I have a 8Bitdo NES wireless controller (the one with the thumbsticks), and the d-pad feels pretty good on it. It really boils down to what kinds of games you're playing that need a d-pad - for example, I wouldn't play Street Fighter with a d-pad, just like I wouldn't play Megaman with an analog stick.
  15. We previously highlighted five fan-favorites – Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms. Here’s the full list of titles that fans can now look forward to playing: Battle Arena Toshinden Cool Boarders 2 Destruction Derby Final Fantasy VII Grand Theft Auto Intelligent Qube Jumping Flash Metal Gear Solid Mr Driller Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee Rayman Resident Evil Director’s Cut Revelations: Persona Ridge Racer Type 4 Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo Syphon Filter Tekken 3 Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Twisted Metal Wild Arms https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018/10/29/announcing-playstation-classics-full-lineup-of-20-games/ Can't say there is any game on that list I have a burning desire to (re) play... and why have a crappy launch fighter like Toshinden and in the same collection have Tekken 3?
  16. Brings a new meaning of going to make a deposit
  17. To clarify - I'm not implying there isn't something wrong with some pressings of the EP, but as we all know what equipment you play vinyl on makes a big difference in what you get out of it sound-wise. Well, that would be on them from a moral standpoint - I think it would be disingenuous not to disclose if the copy has the pressing issue. If anything, stating that it is fine (and possibly provide a recording as proof) might go further in getting a sale and commanding a higher price. In the end, I just hope whatever the root cause of this issue was (quality control at the plant, etc.) has been resolved, and we won't see more of this in future.
  18. Unless they are sealed (and event then you are taking a huge risk of getting a defect), I wouldn't trust a copy sold on Discogs unless the seller confirms it's fine.
  19. Good luck installing that day one patch... it's a biggun
  20. I just had a thought: I am assuming everyone who has issues with their Collapse EP vinyls are comparing them to the digital versions and just aren't assuming there are audio issues, right (i'm probably wrong, but thought it might be worth mentioning). It might also be useful to compare a vinyl recording that is "right" versus your own potentially defective vinyl.
