i bought it and did the pro sound track mod. started playing it and heard the english vo and immediately turned it off. couldn't switch it to jp. i guess i could just turn the vo off entirely. just haven't had time to go back to it with how much pub i'm still playing (sadly)Yeah, I just turned it down really low and skip when I've read the text box, since I'm on PS4 I have to listen to the annoying synth orchestra, which I've also turned down pretty low. There is no Japanese voice track, the Japanese version is all text boxes. I guess I'll stick to it a little longer. The endlessly respawning enemies throw me off, I have no idea know how much time I'm supposed to grind in each area. The general DQ formula is if a boss whoops yer ass easily, you need to grind a few levels and try again. I assume you mean AC Odyssey, not Mario. Lol I would have believed it if he was referring to Mario, as how can a formulaic yearly release actually get better over time? Typically they do not (see: CoD, Battlefield, Madden, etc.)

Yeah, I've outfit my Dualshocks with these guys: https://www.amazon.com/Thumbsticks-Playstation-Replacement-Accessories-Controllers-4/dp/B01KZKWX5O Metal? I want those ones now. You'd think the notched edges would destroy your thumbs, but quite the opposite - I find my thumbs not slipping off the sticks like they do with the standard ones. Plus, they are a bit higher, so you get better directional 'travel' from them versus the standard. Added bonus is they never wear out, and the rubber coating doesn't tear off after 6 months like the standard sticks (these do not have any coating; I mean they are far more durable than the rubber-coated plastic ones)

DQ is a very traditional, slow-burn RPG - you have to invest a ton of time into it before it starts reaping rewards. i bought it and did the pro sound track mod. started playing it and heard the english vo and immediately turned it off. couldn't switch it to jp. i guess i could just turn the vo off entirely. just haven't had time to go back to it with how much pub i'm still playing (sadly) Oddly the original JP release didn't have a Japanese VO - hopefully they'll consider an "international" edition that will contain the JPN VO and then because you're on PC, you can patch it in (or they offer it to both console and PC versions as free DLC).

OK, that one looks rendered, but still quite good Those instrumental arrangements actually are quite alot better, well worth the pre-order :3... Also: Dr. Light's trial... houly sheet. Some PS4 person got it down in hardly more than 10 minutes already. The game has been out for just a day XP... Jeebus. Bought MM11, but trying to resist the urge to play it until I finish Dragon Quest 11... but I think I will cave in sooner than later. OK, so I did cave and ended up playing MM11 (a lot) - either I am starting to suck at games as I am getting older (likely), or MM11 is one of the harder MM games released - I can't recall a single MM game since 9 where I didn't beat at least ONE boss/stage the first day I had the game. I'm playing on 'normal', which I think for most uninitiated MM players would be considered 'hard'. I'm happy though the game is a challenge (to me). *waits for someone to chime in how they beat the game in a few hours*

You mean since he sampled his own son for Korg track? I guess I should clarify by saying "commercial" samples - e.g., samples from tv shows and movies, not just people speaking. I'd still like to know where that Abundance sample is from!

We really should have a general 'Star Wars' thread considering how many spin-offs, movies, etc. are coming... The live-action Star Wars show helmed by Jon Favreau is titled "The Mandalorian" and does not deal with Jango/Boba Fett. Takes place after Jedi but before Awakens, and focuses on a "lone gunslinger" far from the reach of the New Republic. Reportedly 8 episodes in a season. Will air exclusively on Disney's streaming service set to launch in late 2019. I think Disney hasn't learned their lesson after Solo coming out so soon after Last Jedi.

Abundance is probably one of his best tracks since ICBYD in terms of feel/vibe. RDJ hasn't done samples (at least overt ones like in abundance) for some time, and it's something I've always liked about his music.

Yeah, sure. Just because he's a kid automatically means that he's sincere, funny and sweet, free of acerbic snark or jaded dispare (what the fuck does this even mean?) Jesus, I envy a 10-year old, how low have I fallen. I think it's awesome that Richard's music resonates with someone so young - goes to show you that despite its complexity and depth, that nearly anyone at any age can appreciate it for what it is.

turns out the playstation classic will have different games based on region (although supposedly this is only between japan and the west) but still no full list of the games That makes sense, but Nintendo was willing to announce each region's games on announcement day... I wonder why Sony's holding off? Maybe it's a "26 Mixes for Cash" situation where they haven't secured the licensing for all the games...

Yes, AFAIK both regular and ltd. editions are the same vinyl record, just different sleeves, so anyone with both and one has issues while one does not is likely due to getting one out of the bad batch, and one that is fine. Apparently the whole run wasn't affected; only a certain amount.
