  1. Nah my doggie - Mini LED (and eventually Micro LED) will surpass OLED as a superior display format. TCL has a 65" and 75" Mini LED model (Series 8 ) that have up to 25000 zones of brightness and none of the drawbacks of OLED (burn in, relatively short lifespan, etc.). Prices are also cheaper than OLED: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/8-series-2019-q825-qled I have a 6 Series TCL 55" that I use for gaming on PS4 Pro and you can't get a better bang for your buck with this TV: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/6-series-r625-2019 As for what size is right for your room: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship Also, don't despair as 2020 will unveil the new sets and the 2019 models will go on sale around February/March to clear out old stock.
  2. WATMM enters year 21...
  3. This is now fixed. This is now fixed.
  4. I call that 'loaf mode' where they tuck their legs under their body. That's more a case of "if I fits, I sits"
  5. Just finished Series 4 of The Expanse. Great series, and glad to see Amazon kept the high production values.
  6. Okay, real talk: Who talks to their cats in a different voice than their own regular voice? I do
  7. I think it would be good as a refresher for the current trilogy, so anything that is in IX (and from the reviews coming in, there is a LOT they jammed in this movie), it will probably help. I'm getting the impressions from the reviews that I have read so far is go in with low expectations, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Go in expecting a satisfying conclusion to 9 films and over 40 years of Star Wars, and you might find yourself disappointed or conflicted at best. I think Disney's greatest sin when starting a new trilogy was they didn't plan the whole thing out from the get go - they made it up as they went along, and switching directors was a fatal mistake.
  8. First non-spoiler comments about The Rise of Skywalker are coming in - none are universally praise-worthy of the film, so that might be a good (or bad) sign.
  9. I can recommend two very good anime (which have probably been mentioned already but whatevs): Demon Slayer The Promised Neverland You're welcome!
  10. "This is the way" refers to never removing their helmets to anyone but a close loved one, etc. Considering Jango Fett was a Mandolorian and he walked around without his helmet quite a bit, I guess he wasn't as religious as say his son Boba or the Mandalorian, but yes they are humanoids. John Favreau has said as much in interviews that the series is modeled very closely after western serials and the like.
  11. Respawn LOL Fixed that for ya - As much as I initially like the DQ games, I end up getting bored with them about 3/4s of the way through.
  12. Ah, I see your point - yeah, it's very much "villain of the week' like @dr lopez might have mentioned previously. Considering there is only 8 episodes in Season One, they better end of a big cliffhanger, unless the whole point was to tell a basic side story - no galaxy-defining events, etc. like the movies tackle.
  13. Uh, all those things are happening in service to the story... don't see how that's not clear.
  14. Well, we have several plot threads going: The Mandalorian is trying to earn money for his clan to help orphans He is trying to keep The Child safe He is on the run from the Bounty Guild, since he violated their code by saving The Child (a bounty) Along the way he's getting mixed up in local affairs, and as seen in last week's episode, he's being reached out to by old associates (most with the intention of turning on him in light of his transgressions with the Guild). Clear enough now?
  15. Synth pioneer Gershon Kingsley dead at 97:
  16. Dat face says he's seen shit, for sure.
  17. LOL, it looks like a square hibachi Put some yakitori on that bitch
  18. Agreed - this appears to be a Ghostbusters movie in name only. I dare them to surprise me. I am really surprised that in the first official trailer, no sign of Ackroyd, Murray, Weaver, etc. - not a good sign.
  19. Also, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice wins Game of the Year.
  20. It's basically a PC tower, eh? The name-calling has already begun (in Japan at least) due to how it's pronounced: https://kotaku.com/the-xbox-series-x-has-nicknames-like-sex-and-butt-x-1840409429 But if I am being honest, I prefer the way this looks over what the PS5 may look like (the bonkers renderings we previously saw are what the dev kits actually look like): I mean holy crap is that a backwards early '00 design or what? Making it look like a roman numeral 5 is something a first-year design student would do...
