To be fair to Texas, they are more urban than we’d assume, about 40% Hispanic, younger than most states, and one of the most university-educated states. Apparently anyway. Things change.

In 2016 I had to drive a few hours between cities. When I left Hillary seemed a pretty sure thing, then when I turned on the radio 2.5 hrs later I felt the whiplash as I heard a shattered sounding ex-politician from the left and was like wtf. so this time I feel obligated to keep a vigilant eye on it ?

Nearly 2pm on the 4th where I am, so early hours local isn’t an issue for me, before my bedtime the last several elections excepting 2000 were apparent results for me by dinnertime.

Looks tight to me. Trump doing solid. Biden may grab 1 of those handful of crucial states. I.e. about as expected (unless you r a poll)

Polls have been dodgy guides for a while now. In June 2016 there was the shocking Brexit then in July a surprisingly narrow result in Australia, almost a hung parliament. Then Trump happened. These sorts of results (along with a wave of celebrity deaths) defined 2016, and polls have felt less reliable ever since (that said, I had a state election on the weekend which pretty much went according to expectations).

My CD finally turned up (Oct 8th-Nov 3rd). Looks very eyestriking, you walk into a room and can’t miss it. I could imagine the sight of the retail vinyl intriguing some new listeners.

Since the late 90s my Rugby League team in Australia has been the Canberra Raiders. Known as "the green machine", their primary colour is lime green and they hail from the nation's CAPITAL. Made their first Grand Final (decider) the same year that Autechre formed. Logos old & new and some of their current stars in the kit:

I had the immediate same reaction as I did with NTS3 at the time, in that I don't need to endlessly listen to this NOW, because it is clearly awesome and a keeper I can play endlessly. It doesn't need work or time or anything. I'm pretty sure NTS3 remains my least listened to of the NTS 1-4 for this very reason. Same deal with the elseqs, I mostly listen to the 'lesser' ones in recent years. We've had so much material recently that the immediately awesome can get put aside for a while whilst the (seemingly) less incredible can garner the most focus in hope that it will click and go to that next level (as well).

Spent the morning listening to the new lead single from Crowded House (their 7th album 'Dreamers are Waiting' will get a conventional all-formats release in early '21, probably in time for their March NZ tour). Froom & Neil's sons are now in the band. Now back to PLUS
