I knew you guys would enjoy the new Doom Agreed about the "arena" feel. Every time you yank that weird gland thingy out of a Gore Nest or you're in particularly hot areas it feels like the combat equivalent of breakdancing. (in a good way) Wish I had more time to play it lately, but I'm definitely gonna do a second playthrough. I've just been blazing thru the missions but still missed quite a few secrets in the process. And that SnapMap I might play around with later on too.

Well...just completed the first two missions of the new Doom. The environments are insane. Combat-wise, ammo is relatively limited for each gun, so it seems attack variety is key. It also looks like there's a bunch of upgrades for weapons, armor, stats, etc. Actually feels kind of like a Metroid game. Also, G(l)ory Kills. One thing worth mentioning if you already ordered the game on PC; make sure you grab the latest update for your GPU driver first. I learned this the hard way and got a slide show the first time. The driver update fixes that, if you have an AMD or NVidia.

Hasn't that been Serious Sam since day one though ?! Yeah CroTeam's mob arena formula basically remains unchanged since 2001. I was just hoping for something slightly varied for some reason.

Serious Sam 3: BFE gets impossibly difficult at the very end, so I decided "fuck it." Waste of forty dollaz t.b.h. CroTeam's idea of challenge is to make each level an open arena and throw five hundred monsters in each one. None of them even use cover or coordinated attacks - just mobs and mobs coming directly at you the entire time. Anyway, still waiting on the new Doom I pre-ordered. At least in this one it looks like you get a variety of cool upgrades and power-ups. Just a couple more days..

Installed a new lock on my mailbox for the new place, which came with a pair of keys. Also spotted a total of three moose, six porcupines, and two black bears while at work today. It was sorta like a paid safari. The first black bear turned and looked at us as we slowed down to look, like "dafuq you lookin at?" and then slowly proceeded on his way into the woods. EDIT: Ohhh, shit. This is the PROBLEMS thread, not the successes one. Oh lol.

Now that I've got a Playstation-style USB controller, just need to grab a SNES emulator...and should be good to go for another Super Metroid run...

Good old Super Metroid, haven't played it in about five years. (last time I did was on a SNES emulator on my Android phone). Still debating whether to buy Shadow Complex, which is a "2.5-D" indie game which critic reviews are comparing to Super Metroid. Tried out Serious Sam 3 today. Almost feels like a remaster of the first one. Same headless kamikaze cyborgs going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH (probably gonna hear that shit in my head for days)

Whipped up meatless kielbasa drizzled with Sriracha on a hoagie bun with sauteed onions and garlic plus pickles on top. Couldn't really taste the veg-basa t.b.h. Wish there was a better way to eat healthy without compromising flavor.

I like how early Tuesday the media showed the mugs of Clinton and Trump front page and talked like they were already the winners of Indiana even though only one percent of the vote was counted at the time, and Bernie still ended up winning. And Cruz throwing in the towel was only a matter of time. I prefer Sriracha tho -
Dishonored is basically a steampunk Deus Ex, except the consequences of your actions are more obvious. I gave up halfway through because I got bored of constantly stealthing around and putting bad guys to sleep in order to get the "good" ending. If you can sword-slash people you don't like and bust a flintlock cap in somebody's ass without being penalized for it in Dishonored 2, I might actually play it.

Every web page I browse in Firefox appears only with a white background and in Times New Roman font...except Google. I'm sure someone here can explain it better than I can, in web programming terms. The strange thing is Google Chrome seems to be working fine. Not to pull the foil hat card, but...Google conspiracy?

Doom 3 already came out twelve years ago. It's all good tho, I knew what you meant. The next Doom looks like actual fun, unlike its predecessor. I'm already forced to do "productive" things with my time, full-time. Video games are a way to unwind, and are generally more fun than trivial bullshit that society expects adults to adhere to. I dunno, I'm tired. Fuck it.
