He's still doing the physical format thing. So that needs to be part of the equation. Let's see how the saw1.5 will be released though. My guess is it will be released partly through the classic distr network and partly bleepstores. With the bleepstores bonus of having access to new additional tracks. ....which kinda cannibalises all other distribution options. Not sure how this will work. And somehow think the people involved are not sure either.

speculation time: next uploads will be the rephlex albums and eps. analords, bubblebaths, caustic, bradley. assuming the bubblebaths will come with a shitload of extra's. much from soundcloud dump though. so much of it already familiar stuff. but nicely mastered and put in context with officially released stuff. hoping next month. not expecting next week as the bleep servers need to be able to breathe a bit. ad possibly some bugs in the site need to be fixed in the background before the next wave comes in. hopefully the saw1.5 will be next after the rehplex stuff

some tuss tracks (with extra 'm' in title) have been remastered. don't think his other regular/released tracks have. i'd expect him to put an 'm' in there. not sure though

I thought they already cut funding for fire extenguishers. well yeh, but not for themselves. they only cut budgets for other peoples they don't care about.

some voices on twitter that this leak on sessions might be a white house orchestrated effort to get rid of sessions. not sure what to believe at this point though. as far as i'm concerned, the white house is currently on fire. and the reps in house/senate are the only ones with the fire extinguisher, but currently refuse to do their job.

really happy with the bleepstore, btw. not sure whether new tracks will follow with the speed of that soundcloud dump had one time, but it looks like this will be the alternative to soundcloud i was hoping for. and hoping he'll upload a couple of the soundcloud playlists as new albums. :)

Innnnteresting. So for those who had already bought ICBYD - can you say how this works? Was there any automatic notification? Does it indeed show up as free now to download? i bought icbyd at 19 tracks and half an hour later merry maidens got added as a track i could download individually or in the album bundle, no extra cost Same and now i'm getting the server error 500 so can't get the new track. thank bulky for that. pushing f5 in 500bpm

lol yeah imagine the peeps that paid a ton for the Field Day vinyl, and got none of the bonus tracks. I'm thinking of the database nerds who dislike digital releases because they're flexible. There's a lot of discussion on the forums about whether digital should even be allowed on the site. The idea that a new entry will have to be created every time a new track is added - or that it will have to be argued out whether the older entry should just be edited or not - is going to wind a lot of people up. the correct answer to that is "so what?"

Of humanity, yeah, I think so. Of human beings, not at all. In fact Twin Peaks has his unique quality of injecting earnest and goodness into a very dark and cynical universe. There are so many good people on this show, characters who are even cartoonish in their moral high ground and good judgement, but are nonetheless quirky, goofy, aloof regular folks, who deal with this evil. That's what I've always liked about it. Lust for power and money are all presented in it's ugliest form, this episode especially. (The atomic bomb scene was a damning statement of humanity's evil on a broader sense.) Even the Dougie sex scene was such a positive (albeit goofy) juxtaposition of love and joyful titillation compared to the perpetual underbelly of lust (exploitation via prostitution is apparently still very much an issue - remember the sweeping scene phone call) and misogyny that is ongoing in Twin Peaks. Part of the reason Richard Horne (and Chad for that fact) are so despicable is that they are just assholes abusing power. I think Richard might have a connection to evil Coop or whatever but right now all we are seeing is self-centered scumbug with no sense of guilt, remorse, or responsibility. He's a junkie causing mayhem. Chad is an accomplice to it. Shit happens to small town America all the time. You don't need supernatural evil to be that way. That cartoonishness is a huge part of why I think Lynch is very cynical though. It makes it look like people are incompetent and dishonest creatures, imo. Lynch writes cartoonish characters without a sense of self-reflection about their cartoonishness. There are some exceptions, but the average human being in this Lynchian fantasy is an incompetent idiot who lacks a decent conscience. Perhaps they need to be for the story, or he simply sees people that way. In either case i think it's cynical.
