  1. Vinyl and CD reissue coming in June this year on Mille Plateaux. Has remained a staple part of my listening habits since I first picked up the re-release back in 2004.

Haven't seen it on the their Bandcamp: https://forceincmilleplateaux.bandcamp.com/ but it's up for pre-order in the usual places.

  2. This is on my watch list, maybe one for tonight. I like Curtis, despite his faults, I'll always find something useful to pick up and explore. Century of the Self and All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace have always been the ones I've returned to the most.

It's kind of ok I guess, but it's just all over the place imo.
One has to constantly juggle multiple events/subjects, whilst learning what they have in common and why.

Your comment reminded me of this parody video of Curtis' style

has the 6 Parallel World tracks, Cosine and Miami Retirement, and these:

plus i added 88.wav in there just in case anyone grabbing this didn't have it already, since he upped that for free a few months ago.

Nice! I was missing BOYZ, Bass and Tone and 13. Thanks for uploading.

    I'm sure Unseen_Werk 1 will turn up.

  4. New album on Rush Hour arriving in May. Only one track up so far, and sounding good. From the Far Future Pt. 3 was a stonking LP, so happy to be getting another so soon.

    Quote

The first pressing is limited and holds an extra record with 2 extra tracks called "Electronic Travellers" & "Growth And Development

of all the cults i've heard about, this one has to be one of the most bizarre and this is a great deep dive in who and what exactly these guys were all about.

    depressingly good

I'd really like to watch this, need to just see how. Bloody HBOmax though.

great documentary about the yorkshire ripper whom i was mostly familiar with due to the track 'ripper territory'

Good series, interesting take over the usual format. Woeful policing, pretty shocking how the police presented and treated the majority of the victims.

There's been some really good late additions recently...
    Pole - Fading

I need to pick this up, it's been on my bandcamp list, but have yet to pull the trigger.

    • Yaeji - What We Drew -- I'm really enjoying all of her output. There's something really down-to-Earth about it all, feels personal and human.

A good reminder to check the album out. I really liked EP2.

    3.  Julianna Barwick - Healing Is A Miracle

I really liked this album, but it dropped off of rotation. Need to get this back on again, I love all of her albums, she's very much in the insta buy category.

Favorite albums, alphabetical order by title and not ranked:

Windy & Carl - Allegiance and Conviction

    Soccer Mommy - color theory

Daniel Avery & Alessandro Cortini - Illusion of Time AND Love + Light

    White Poppy - Paradise Gardens

    Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher

Nice list, will take a listen to your playlist today. Soccer Mommy is on by want list, really liked the actress remix of Crawling Under My Skin. The Avery + Cortini is an awesome album, picked up a really cheap copy recently, as I made the mistake of only getting the digitals first time round. Need to check out the other albums, especially White Poppy.

I have another late entry that I don't think has been mentioned in here:

Yawning Man - Live at Giant Rock

Purchased. Never heard of them before, but this really clicked. Thanks for posting. I really love this track.

Norman Records are great. They seem to genuinely love a wide range of music. A nice and diverse selection of genres. Bonus points for not having any prattling reviews like some sites...

So much good music and new artists discovered this year, been spending a lot of time with the below. Not all 2020, but so what.

    Autechre - SIGN / PLUS

Tiombé Lockhart - The Aquarius Years

    Actress - Karma + Desire

    Terrence Dixon - FTFF3

Kate NV - Room for the Moon

    Cinder Well - No Summer

MJ Guider - Sour Cherry Bell

Jessy Lanza - All the Time

Millsart - Every Dog Has Its Day (5 through 13)

輕描淡寫 x Kuroi Ame - 眼泪含泪 (on Pure Life)

Emma Ruth Rundle & Thou - May Our Chambers Be Full

    Galya Bisengalieva - Aralkum

HTRK (some wicked Bandcamp releases, and I'm still listening to Venus in Leo on the regular)

MoMA Ready (Will be picking up a lot more from him next year)

Jeannine Schulz (All releases this year, worth checking out if you like your tape hiss ambient warmth https://jeannineschulz.bandcamp.com/music

Joanne Robertson (only discovered her this year, been picking up stuff where possible, love Black Moon Days)

Barbra Streisand (I'd have laughed if someone told me I'd add her to my record collection, but the 60's run of albums make for some relaxing listening)

this is one of the best albums of any genre imo. it's just one of those special art works where so many unique things came together to make it work. i think the excellence of the original productions combined with q-tips meticulous adjustments and the total raw flow of the rapping in every track...it's just incredible.

Couldn't agree more. One of the classic 90's album, captures a moment in time, and vibe, perfectly. It's their most accomplished album.

absolute masterclass in hi hats from the greatest rock drummer ever

I would have picked this myself, the drumming across Reggatta de Blanc is... Copeland gets bonus points for writing the Equalizer theme too.

  9. Only one listen so far. It's good, there's some very nice tracks on here. Certainly has that feel of some of the Twitter tracks he's released. Happy I bought this, t-shirt is wicked too.

The piano makes an appearance in some of the tracks, and there are a few fast tempo pieces on here, Try Again and Errr!, sort of juke vibe to my ears. Errr! is absolutely wicked, probably fave track at the moment. Beautiful slow piano refrain behind frenetic beats, and when the string/pads drop coming up to the 8 min mark... pretty epic.

Promo sounds like he's sampled the the beat from I Can't Go For That, keep expecting Daryl Hall to start crooning.

I own a lot of pricey clothing so that's not a problem, it's a nice shirt. Maybe I'll buy ittt

It arrived today, t-shirt is very nice, though looks like a big M to me. It was very easy to access the album, no too much faffing about. About to take a listen now.
