Liking what sounds like a CD glitch sample, in mesh cinereaL. Can be heard clearly at 3:33 and 3:40, with some subtler instances appearing earlier/later in the track.

I know precisely what you mean. During the broadcast of feed1 I couldn't tell where the beat was for the entire track. It took three auditions to realise the bass drums really mostly stay in the same positions throughout the track. runrepik is now much easier to follow rhythmically. The one that's still tricky is spl9.

What if Pitchfork is trolled to oblivion and was handed a live jam made exclusively with sounds from an old people's home?

that and also, perhaps they never had the right attitude towards "appreciating music" from the start. They might as well be talking about car engines and motorbikes.

Intentional. In both time markings you mention in 13x0 step, the glitches are aligned to the rhythmic pattern of the stabby synth chords heard previously. That pattern is 3-3-3-3-2-2 sixteenths. The first glitch (0:40) is more straightforward to hear. The second one (0:50) is more complicated, as it takes the above rhythm (3-3-3-3-2-2), splits each duration in half, and places a glitch in every newly created point. It's moments like these that make you think "hang on, how can this be called a 'jam'?"

  17. Someone make a Bladelores Runrepik mix with footage from the movie. Also, why on earth would anyone want Autechre to make a soundtrack for a sci-fi film revamp. Where's the fun in that. Autechre should be playing the replicas in the film.

  20. Aspall is good, personal favourite is Henney's (If you don't know) Check Dunkertons cider http://www.dunkertonscider.co.uk/, not general supermarket fodder, but can be found in some Waitrose. If I have a week off work and at home I order a case (or two) on-line. It's good stuff. Awesome, thanks! Will order a case (or two) for a taster.
